$1? If that's all you have to lose then that makes sense to me.

I've also placed a $2 bet on 1+ member(s) of team Canada getting Swine Flu, the current odds there are 400/1

I remember some story where a guy put down a few bucks to have the Devil Rays win the AL, and of course they did take the AL. I forget how much but it was a good chunk of change.

So that means your decent, or he's horrible.I hope you don't mean the latter...

Anyways, Besides the US ( who aren't looking too good this year) I always root for the biggest longshot

I was ok I guess.. We played on the same div-1 team (tier-II) and then he went on to play in the elite league and now the SEL.. He's a pretty good player. Probably not NHL material, but I think he'll do good in Sweden and for the Norwegian national team..

Good to know, I always assumed that Norway was right behind Finland, Sweden and Russia in Europe . Mainly because it's pretty cold and icy in Norway. Guess I was wrong

This reminds me of the "near-greatest parlay bet ever".

Just for kicks I put $20 on a 15-team 3-sport parlay bet that would have net me like$18,000 or something ridiculous, and I hit on the first 13 things that day. *****es.

why didn't you hedge?

First off, I do not know what that means. I am familiar with the term "hedge your bets", but not so sure what it means in actual gambling parlance.

I had withdrawn all the money I had on that site, but the day of, I got a $20 bonus and that is why I just tossed it onto a random Parlay.

You and me both - on the upside, Colorado is beating San Jose, so it won't be the only game I lose on.

You gotta hedge you should've put it in a triple doubt ferris wheel style and piggy backed it to the african rugby cup.

When Norway wins, you're really going to be headbanging into the wall thinking, why didn't I bet $5 instead of only one.

What if that homeless guy bet that $1 on Norway and won $2000?
