Thanks to everyone for contributing to his board/forum. Although the outcome of the season was not what we had all expected, it was fun talking to each and everyone of you Ducks fans. :handclap:

We still got a few things left until we downshift for the summer. The CHL playoffs is still going on and the Ducks still have a few prospects alive. The AHL playoffs will soon start. April 6 is the draft lottery and the Ducks will be drafting 9th overall in the 2004 draft this June. The World Cup will take place this summer, hopefully with a few Ducks playing for their countries. And then the dreaded CBA will shut the NHL down. If there no season next year, I want to say Thanks again to Bryan Murray and all the Mighty Ducks player for entertaining us. Thanks to everyone here and HF for allowing us to build a small community of friends.

I'd also like to thank all the great mighty ducks fans here at HF, all of you stood by the team through the good and bad this season. While the Ducks played like **** many of you made the season more bearable by cracking jokes, poking fun at the players and just being great people.

Lets hope the hockey gods realize how great of fans you all are and never put us through a season like this again.

And if there is no hockey next season, I'd like to say a big F Y to everyone affiliated with the NHL. But until then, I'll be cool.

Who should I cheer for in the playoffs?

If you're truly going to be cool, you'll cheer for my teams: Tampa and Nashville, and whoever is playing Detroit.

Well that's nice, but Lyons said he'd "be cool". To do that, he's got to do what I do.

agreed. The folks here make the horrible season more bearable. I shall be rooting for Tampa and Nashville and for a 1st round exit for the Devils.

Bah you stole Tampa from me, but at least your rooting for my hometown team.

I had fun participating the GDTs when I could. Chock was always cracking me up with his sarcasm. Its a shame I dont have a Ducks playoff avatar right now or getting ready for a Ducks playoff round like I was last year for both the Lightning and Ducks. Thats what next year is for. GO DUCKS!

Then his name would go on the Cup. I don't think any of us want that to happen do we?

Ducks gone, Oil gone, damn it's almost all gone. I'm hoping either Vancouver, Calgary, or preferably Dallas wins out of the West, and either Ottawa, Tampa, or prefereably Boston wins out of the East.

Ok, I've looked at all the playoff team's carefully, and one team sticks out...

Sorry I couldn't be cool Booger. The Sharks have a lot of players that I would enjoy on the Ducks. I don't think they have one ahole on the whole team. I hope they win it all.

The Sharks are the most boring team in the playoffs. Watching them play New Jersey would be like watching us play New Jersey except that we wouldn't care, so it would be unbearable.

Sharks, Dallas, Montreal? You people are pathetic. Go feel shame.

Actually, if you don't play in a stanley cup finals game your name does not go on the cup I believe.

With that said it's just a sprained ankle sooo GO STARS!!!

Didn't we have a similar inquisition last year about Kjellberg and if the Ducks win the Cup?

I'm pretty sure if you play 1 game during the entire playoffs you get your name on the cup if your team wins...even if you only play in 1 first round game(Severson would have gotten his name on there for game 1 of first round last year)

There have also been cases of players who were in a majority of a team's games during the regular season but did not appear in the playoffs, getting there name on the cup...the team just has to request his name being added...

It's 40 regular season games, or one playoff game (not sure if it needs to be in the Finals). But yes, a team can petition for a player that misses the requirements but by a reasonable argument is a part of the team. Like, say, a guy who was a member of the team all year, practiced every day, but only played 39 games due to circumstance.

The 94 Rangers had a couple guys like that; Mike Hartman even dressed for a bunch of games but didn't get on the ice in some of them. His name was later added to the Cup.

The league just wants to make sure no unworthy names are added (like when Pocklington tried to get his son's name on).

Yeah, I was planning on cheering for Nashville, but just can't get into it. Tampa, I'm hoping has a good run. The Sharks I could care less. I'd like to see Ottawa do well, but they'll prolly lose to Toronto in the first round.
