MiniBurke 09-08-2009, 08:23 AM Well if you look at it like this... I take the Canadians, When Canada and Russia meet each other. The Ruskies will be matched up against a checking line the world has never seen. Morrow-Richards-Doan. then thrown in Pronger-Webber on the back end and those guys won't want to touch the puck! Plus Iginla-Crosby can play all 3 zones where as the Russians are all down hill guys. Gonna be a lot of fun to watch TheBloodyBeast 09-08-2009, 09:28 AM Well if you look at it like this... Gonna be a lot of fun to watch The OP didn't ask about checking line and Canada's D. Oh well, I guess Russians can't win on a NA forum. But I honestly doubt Russia will play these 3 guys on 1 line. Proffessor G DIDDY 09-08-2009, 10:33 AM Yeah chances that line will never exist. Although its likely players like Kovalev, Radulov and Semin won't play physical. Malkin, Ovechkin, Kovalchuk and Frolov are big dudes and are willing to play physical, also Datsyuk and Federov are exceptional 2 way hockey players. I think Canada have a better blue line, but Russia have a tonne of firepower in the forwards, both teams have great goaltending. I hope they play, cause it might be one of the best hockey matches over the last decade. Kovy4thewin 09-08-2009, 02:19 PM this poll is such a joke RustE 09-09-2009, 12:09 AM I hate to say it, but that Russian line could be right up there with 99 and 66 and whomever. Canada has nothing to match them. it should be Ovech/Malkin/Kovelchuk vrs. Neidermeyer/Pronger/Luongo. that is where the battle will be won or lost. backs4mvp 09-09-2009, 01:29 AM Easily the Russians. Iginla < Ovechkin Nash <<< Kovalchuk Crosby = Malkin Sojourn 09-11-2009, 04:10 PM Neither one of those lines might be together... so, who knows? Offensively, I think the Russian trio is the clear favorite, while the Canadian line is much more complete. Zine 09-11-2009, 04:55 PM They won't be a line, Ovechkin and Kovalchuk are both LW. Considering Malkin can play wing, best line (at least on paper) is Ovechkin-Datsyuk-Malkin. Sentinel 09-21-2009, 06:29 PM As previously indicated, this Russian line is unlikely ever to be created. It is however possible to see them together on ice on the PP (with somebody like Gonchar and Semin / Frolov). By pure talent and current status, OMK >>> NCI Tyler Myers 09-21-2009, 11:39 PM the top line is no competition in Russia's favour but canada's depth and d-core group is unparalleled malkins 10-07-2009, 01:59 PM Well if you look at it like this... Gonna be a lot of fun to watch Pronger vs Ovechkin: http://www.nhl.tv/team/console.jsp?hlp=8471214&fr=false watch goal 2 vs Flyers Pronger should better learn how to skate first Pwnator 10-30-2009, 09:15 AM They won't be a line, Ovechkin and Kovalchuk are both LW. Considering Malkin can play wing, best line (at least on paper) is Ovechkin-Datsyuk-Malkin. Now that would be just plain scary. TheBloodyBeast 10-30-2009, 02:45 PM Now that would be just plain scary. Let's hope they all will be healthy come Olympics time. | ||
