someone watching the game at 15:20 CET on DSF?

went out for a smoke and switzerland scored the first goal. dammit!

looks like it's a rather unproven swiss team. i think i know just three players (fischer, forster, blindenbacher).

germany has a solid team, just a few guys missing.

not a very good game so far. some chances, but both teams need to show more.

yea...just saw the replay of the swiss goal. it was nice too.

i hope the 2nd period will be better. scoring chances were rare in the 1st, i'd like to see more.

what a boring game. 1-1 after 2nd period and not what i expected.

ullmann scores! 2-1 lead germany. at least ullmann with his 2nd goal for the national team. his 1st was the 2-1 on thursday.

and now forster and lewandowski with some punches. both coyotes draftees. what happened to switzerland? oh, they started with 2 guys on 1. switzerland sucks. :D

A real hard game with much hits (some real big) from both teams. Good refree, better than every german...

When is Hecht joining the team. If he could keep his present form we might be good for a few suprises. :yo: :banana:
I think it is actually terrible to hope the teams with the Germans do not make the NHL Playoffs so they can play in the World Championship.
What is the matter with Luedemann, heard he is injured, will he be fit for the World Championsship. He is the best German defender, still do not understand why he never was drafted.

Lüdemann should be ready soon, it's just a minor injury.

According to Marc Hindelang Sascha Goc will miss the WC, because of illness.
There are still enough good defenders left, but it would be better, if Zach could chose the best players because of skill and not injury/illness.

I hope Greilinger is okay, it sure didn't look good...
Germany can't afford to lose one of the best scorers for the WC.

I don't understand it either! He is great, my favourite German player, I even bought his jersey!

I think if he was 18 again now he would be drafted, 10 years ago scouts weren't really going after small German defensemen!

IMHO he could be on the same level as Rafalski and is better than Seidenberg.

I don't think Luedemann is comparable with Rafalski. He has a lot of talent for sure, but he is not tough enough for the NHL, in my opinion. And that is exactly what Seidenberg is.
Greilinger's injury isn't too serious, so he should be able to play at the WC.

I think Lüdemann is better than some NHL-Defenders. He's not that tough but also no *****. He has unbelieveable skating and stickhandling skills. I remember the last WC: He came in with speed form his one zone and went around 3 Slovakian NHL-Players. That was really impressive :bow: ;)

It's already fixed and confirmed, that Hecht will play.

Lüdemann is surely the best skater of all DEL defenders, including all foreign players. In addition he knows how to score and has team leading capability. He's just a little bit too lazy sometimes. Well, that seems a little bit like a contradiction, but his whole vita is like that ;)

Okay, let's go...I'm on my way to Hamburg for the 5th and decisive match in the semi-finals. :D
