gameday: germany - switzerlandzecke26 04-03-2004, 04:03 AM someone watching the game at 15:20 CET on DSF? i'll be here, hoping i'm not alone. :jump: zecke26 04-03-2004, 06:39 AM went out for a smoke and switzerland scored the first goal. dammit! looks like it's a rather unproven swiss team. i think i know just three players (fischer, forster, blindenbacher). germany has a solid team, just a few guys missing. zecke26 04-03-2004, 06:45 AM wow, what a nice goal by tino boos. game tied at 1. zecke26 04-03-2004, 06:56 AM holy cow, an open-ice hit from a swiss player. i've never seen this before. looks like they learn to play hockey. ;) not a very good game so far. some chances, but both teams need to show more. danista 04-03-2004, 07:07 AM Yep, the hit was really impressing and that from a swiss player :amazed: 2 nice goals, but nothing more ;) zecke26 04-03-2004, 07:15 AM yea...just saw the replay of the swiss goal. it was nice too. i hope the 2nd period will be better. scoring chances were rare in the 1st, i'd like to see more. this team needs hecht, i think. zecke26 04-03-2004, 07:56 AM what a boring game. 1-1 after 2nd period and not what i expected. zecke26 04-03-2004, 08:17 AM ullmann scores! 2-1 lead germany. at least ullmann with his 2nd goal for the national team. his 1st was the 2-1 on thursday. and now forster and lewandowski with some punches. both coyotes draftees. what happened to switzerland? oh, they started with 2 guys on 1. switzerland sucks. :D zecke26 04-03-2004, 08:21 AM yeehaw arendt scores. 3-1 germany. nice slapshot. 1st career goal for him in a german jersey. congratulations ronny!     zecke26 04-03-2004, 08:26 AM dammit, switzerland scores. nice slapper on PP. the last period is kinda interesting. zecke26 04-03-2004, 08:48 AM 3-2 germany, final at least a win. not a good game, but the 3rd period was ok to watch. next saturday DSF broadcasts germany - austria! danista 04-03-2004, 08:49 AM 3-2 for Germany :handclap: A real hard game with much hits (some real big) from both teams. Good refree, better than every german... EHCler 04-03-2004, 08:54 AM When is Hecht joining the team. If he could keep his present form we might be good for a few suprises. :yo:  I think it is actually terrible to hope the teams with the Germans do not make the NHL Playoffs so they can play in the World Championship. What is the matter with Luedemann, heard he is injured, will he be fit for the World Championsship. He is the best German defender, still do not understand why he never was drafted. danista 04-03-2004, 09:06 AM Hechts Teams is already out. Sanderson 04-03-2004, 10:45 AM Lüdemann should be ready soon, it's just a minor injury. According to Marc Hindelang Sascha Goc will miss the WC, because of illness. There are still enough good defenders left, but it would be better, if Zach could chose the best players because of skill and not injury/illness. I hope Greilinger is okay, it sure didn't look good... Germany can't afford to lose one of the best scorers for the WC. no one important 04-03-2004, 12:12 PM What is the matter with Luedemann, heard he is injured, will he be fit for the World Championsship. He is the best German defender, still do not understand why he never was drafted. I don't understand it either! He is great, my favourite German player, I even bought his jersey! I think if he was 18 again now he would be drafted, 10 years ago scouts weren't really going after small German defensemen! IMHO he could be on the same level as Rafalski and is better than Seidenberg. Do you guys think that Hecht will play? I heard he and Zach don't get along that well?? JoeLH 04-03-2004, 06:22 PM I don't think Luedemann is comparable with Rafalski. He has a lot of talent for sure, but he is not tough enough for the NHL, in my opinion. And that is exactly what Seidenberg is. Greilinger's injury isn't too serious, so he should be able to play at the WC. danista 04-04-2004, 01:59 AM I think Lüdemann is better than some NHL-Defenders. He's not that tough but also no *****. He has unbelieveable skating and stickhandling skills. I remember the last WC: He came in with speed form his one zone and went around 3 Slovakian NHL-Players. That was really impressive  ;) Sven 04-04-2004, 04:11 AM Do you guys think that Hecht will play? I heard he and Zach don't get along that well?? It's already fixed and confirmed, that Hecht will play. Lüdemann is surely the best skater of all DEL defenders, including all foreign players. In addition he knows how to score and has team leading capability. He's just a little bit too lazy sometimes. Well, that seems a little bit like a contradiction, but his whole vita is like that ;) Okay, let's go...I'm on my way to Hamburg for the 5th and decisive match in the semi-finals. :D | ||
