Well, it might not exactly be suffering since he's making 9 mil, still...

Holik stumped when trying to peg team's woes
March 31, 2004

"I'm still not used to [losing]," he said, just after greeting Devils forward Patrik Elias, who will be leading the Devils' Stanley Cup defense next week while Holik makes summer vacation plans. "I'm still not used to it and this season took it to another level."

I usually hope for success for Devils that stuck to the gameplan over the years. Even ones that leave for big money or whatever. But what did Holik expect? Every single year is supposed to be "the Rangers' year." This year, I saw columnists picking them to finish anywhere between 5-8th place.

They've now missed the playoffs for seven straight years. It took that long to realize that plugging talent into holes doesn't fill them. It just makes them bigger. Holik is as dumb as Rangers management. So he's really got nothing to complain about.

"Oh, I thought the Rangers were going to win when I came over."

Whatever.

Too many distractions in NY, and money is one of the big ones....How can someone expect anything less from that squad.

Holik is laughing all the way to the bank.

He probably looks out of his picture window, gazing at the Grand Tetons in Jackson Hole Wyoming every summer and thinks........ 9 million and summers off, what a life!
