It's going to be a tough battle for the Rocket who seem to have a tough time against Moncton. How do others see this series ending up? I'm pulling for the Rocket, but it doesn't look good for them. Should be a good series though, wouldn't mind hitting the road to take in a game or two. :jump: :hockey:

It's going to be a great a series and I cant waite to see these games down the road.

Steve Bernier has been a monster in the playoffs with 7 points and has been hitting like a recking ball and hard as a train. I'll keep my close eye on this one for his sake :)

Wish I could get to one or two of these... damn research paper season. :madfire:

I'll say Moncton in 7 hard-fought games. Their depth wins out.

Moncton should handle them i thinks. They've looked too strong the last part of the season. I've never been impressed with PEI this season.

Moncton in 6, they are too big and have better goaltending.

Urquhart will be invisble in this series me thinks. :banghead:

I'll say that it goes six or seven. Moncton will win it, either way. Urquhart and the goaltending of PEI will drag it out longer than it has to go.

I'm not counting on Urquhart to be doing anything out there, if PEI gets anywhere it will be because of guys like Lambert and Lapierre.

Bernier was a defensive force on top of scoring alot in the two games i've seen.

Line him up vs Cory and watch him get frustrated.

Im actually picking PEI in 6

Offense:

Slight edge to Moncton, they have a better #2 line.

Defense:

Even, each team has solid defensmen from 1-6

Goalie:

Crawford shoud win here, and he is better than Boutin, but Boutin has played so far.

Intangibles:

PEI, Christian Larue is a poor coach by QMJHL standards, and PEI has Alain Vigneult, enough said.

Moncton in 5 or 6.

They had troubles in the first game against PEI this series, but I think that was mostly caused by the 9 days that they had off. Teams in the Q are used to having 3 games in a single weekend, not 9 days without games.

I'm not sure if any of you caught the second game, but it seemed to be a well fought first period with Crawford giving up 1 weak goal and 1 good goal, and the second was pretty flat, with Moncton getting the only goal. The third however, Moncton seemed to have PEI all figured out, and as soon as they scored the tying goal, you could see that they were going to win, it was just a matter of when. Sure enough, about 4 minutes into the First OT period, the momentum became too much for the lesser PEI team, and they crumbled.

It's really not a possibility for PEI to beat Moncton, if Moncton plays their game, as demonstrated on Sunday. It is very possible that Moncton can beat themselves though. Moncton didn't have a good road team during the reg. season, and that could sting them in the playoffs. Moncton was the only team in the Q with more than 3-30 goal scorers (They had 4). Their firepower is incredible! Mark my words, if Moncton wins the first game in PEI on Wednesday, you might as well stick a fork in the Rocket.
