Third Jersey

Does anyone know when the ducks are going to get a third jersey or if there is any talk of even getting one?

I hope so... But what would it be??? I'm not too sure I'd like to see our players in orange or something like that, unless our third jerseys would be modified whites. I'd like to see just the D emblem on a pretty plain jersey

From what I've heard that Burke and the Samueli's really disliked the idea of 3rd jerseys but I don't know how Murray feels about them.

I'd love to see the Team put up another 3rd jersey but I, realistically, don't see it happening anytime soon.

Something like a mallard duck ala the bear on the Bruins' third that is realistic looking. That would be pretty nails.

I think Orange with black pants and a white stripe going down the arms would be cool looking.

I wonder which jersey will be in the sealing with Selanne's number on it... The Mighty Ducks jersey or the new jersey? Before, it made sense using the Mighty Ducks jersey, but now he has been wearing the new one for 4 years, but at the same time, I still think it makes sense using the Mighty Ducks one. Do you expect he will get to choose for himself?

Oh and btw, let's leave the bashing on the Mighty Ducks jerseys out. There are actually a lot of people who likes them better than the current ones.

Likely just a banner with 8 on it (no jersey). It will be ugly is Susan has her way again. :laugh: They will use the current colors.

The team was a joke with a joke jersey. The second incarnation, of both Teemu and the team, are much more appropriate, and in the pictures of Teemu holding the Cup, he's wearing black and gold.

I wish they'd change all the jerseys. Full black is just so boring.

Hah, at least people who likes the old jerseys can respect that some people don't, and can respect those who like the new jerseys. It's the same thing with the Paul Kariya haters/lovers. It just isn't the same respect the other way around.

Personally, I'm a fan of both the old jerseys and the new ones. So maybe I'm a 9-year old, but wth, I'm proud of being one considering I have already come to a point in my life when I have realized people are different. (Not saying that you have not, just speaking about some fans in general).

as for this topic... I'd like the team to get a 3rd jersey, hopefully with a "real" logo. Although the current one's have come to grow on me. But it would be interesting seeing what they could come up with if they were gonna be a bit more creative.

I like some of those other jersey designs... it's a decent change but I wish for the life of us we could adopt some kind of traditional looking jersey. Like a simple color scheme with big capital letters saying "ANAHEIM" diagonal across the front... like Pittsburgh used to have.

I just don't really like the whole cartoony thing I guess... on any team's jerseys. We'll see what they do, I'd be down for dumbing the creativity down though a bit.

I saw these just after the release of the Ducks new uni's and I really liked them apart from the fact that they look a little like the NY Islanders "Gorton's Fisherman" jerseys. Just don't let Reebok get a hold of the project or you will get something like "SENS" or "BOLTS"

Hayward confirmed during a broadcast last season that he saw the 3rd jerseys, and that they were set to rollout in 10/11. He said he liked the way they looked. I wonder why they'd wait so long to put them out, if they've already settled on a design.

I guess the current jerseys are selling quite well still... I mean, the jerseys changed again a bit in 07/08, with the orange mark around the neck. So you can basically say we have only had the current jerseys for 2 seasons, although the jerseys in 06/07 looked almost totally the same. Expect the Koivu jerseys to sell this year, not only among Ducks fans, but among Habs fans and all other Koivu fans out there.

In 2010/2011, it should drop a little. Not only because the jerseys are getting older, but also because we probably will be without Teemu, Scotty and maybe Koivu. For the sake of bussiness, I guess waiting until 2010/2011 would be the smartest thing.

Still my favorite, despite (or perhaps because of) the stark simplicity. Update the name, keep the font and the colors. I still don't have a version of their latest jersey.
