For anyone who gets Fox 5 New York, “The Face Painter” episode of Seinfeld is scheduled to air at 7:30 ET tonight, Monday, March 29. The episode features a playoff series between the Devils and Rangers. Elaine's boyfriend, David Puddy, is a Devils fan who goes to the game with paint on his face to "support the team."

The Devils use clips of the episode at Continental Airlines Arena on the team's Sony JumboTron screens.

What a classic episode. I have it on tape somewhere in my collection. I can't wait for them to just release the series on DVD already! Stop watching the show on TV and they'll do it! We can't stop though...

I don't if keeping it off DVD for awhile is part of the syndication deal. Hopefully it comes out in the near future.

Hey PEli, Kramer is a Rangers fan, but he is a great character. I saw Michael Richards, who of course played Cosmo Kramer, on a rerun of Cheers last week from about 1984-85. I didn't look at his face closely at first, but the voice was so familiar.

That's the Jacqualine Bissett right? Where Sam made a drunken bet a bunch of years ago and Richards character comes to collect.

Yes, syndication prevents them from releasing DVDs. They know they can make a ton of money from television because people keep watching. Once ratings go south, they'll release a DVD set.

Kramer = the man.

Actually....they're heading to a DVD release now...What was holding the whole thing up was that basically everyone not named Jerry Seinfeld wasn't going to get any extra $$ from commentary on the DVD's :shakehead . Just a few weeks ago they reached a settlement about that, and production started. So the 1st season should be coming out sometime in the near future (I hope)...
