Yikes. I said 2001 because we got a solid backup in Gerber and a good rookie year out of Chistov. After 2001 its basically who you think made more of an impact on the Ducks, Bryz (2000), Leclerc (1995) or Lupul (2002).

Gotta be 2002. A top 6 winger beats a pile of role players and journeymen.

Bryz, then Lupul, then Leclerc and Kilger, then Gerber.

Man... so many bad choices in those drafts. I went for 2001 because of Gerber and a good rookie year from Chistov. Although, drafting Lupul 2002 is arguably just as good.

2001. Gerber stole more games than Lupul won games. Plus Chistov's big rookie year in the tenth season really gave the team life!

Hmm. For some reason a good rookie (or any single) season out of Chistov doesn't mean much to me. It says good things about his talent, but it still doesn't result in a productive, useful long term asset. And it doesn't say much about the scouts/management's ability to interview the kid and help determine the likelihood to reach potential based on his character.

It just seems like Bryzgalov, as a starting goaltender, is the best success.

I picked 2001, as I am looking at how late the guys were actually drafted. Martensson in the 7th, Gerber in the 8th and Perrault in the 9th are all good picks. Parenteau in the 5th is quite good as well. Martensson could have been in the NHL if he wanted to, and quite likely would he be able to put up 40 points a year. The Ducks scouting department can't be blamed on the fact that Martensson didn't want to be in NA.

Easy, 2000.

Brygalov won us the Cup by shutting down Minnesota.

I would say 2003 because of Perry and Getzlaf. These both players shine over the others.

2003 is in 1st place lol. We're voting for the #8 now :)

Leclerc was decent enough player back in the day, and really good in the 2003 Playoffs, and Kilger (in a way) helped us land Selanne.

So yeah, went with 1995.

2001, even if it was just for the fact the a Swiss player was drafted by the Ducks...
