Anyone remember the only other player we've ever had to score on an Elias pass like that one? Elias and Sykora combined to score that goal a couple times, but I can only think of one other player who made it work.

I remember seeing that and thinking that was the sickest play I've ever seen. The "skate" pass against the Rags to Langs a couple years back was another great one too. I think I need to float around youtube for a bit.

i was going nuts at home watching this game. such a terrific series with the Flyers. Game 6 remains my favorite Devils playoff game ever that I witnessed live.

I have a very sharp memory of past devils games and I think i remember Elias making a similar pass to Gomez in his first game of 05/06 vs the Florida panthers. I think it was January 1st or 2nd. You might be able to find that game in NHL.com's video highlights archive.

Elias to Rheaume to finish off the Rangers, late season 2003. He said something along the lines of "it's the first time someone other than Sykora was in the right place for that pass" after it happened, too, which is why I remember.

We owned Luongo so hard when he was in Florida on a consistent basis. I still laugh that last year's game was going to be "Brodeur vs. Luongo" and turned into "Clemmensen vs. Sanford/Labarbera" and was one of the worst tended games I've ever seen.

Collectively, they didn't get the job done. Same individually. I don't care what their stats were as players, they still ****ing lost. Each missed opportunity, blown defensive assignment, etc. wasted another year of playoffs for the Devils.

It was huge for me because my dad, and 2 brothers are die hard Senators fans, and they thought 03 was THE year for them. It was easily the most nerve racking game i`ve ever had to sit through. I lost all my 2003 tapes so that why im hoping they air games from that series.

Easily. So evenly matched, it came down to one defensive mistake. I didn`t get up and cheer as loud and crazy as I usually do when Friesen scored that final goal because part of me felt really bad for my dad.

LOL, it was a clear elbow, no doubt about that. People complained about the Stevens hit on Lindros, which was clean. Yet loved this hit on Sykie, which was completely dirty.

I thought I was at this game, but it must have been another 6-0 game (that I'm pretty sure was also against the Isles). It was one of the earliest games I attended and all I remember was the Devils won 6-0 and the A-line had an amazing game, which means it can't have been this one.

The tenacity of that team, especially in this game one was so good. But remember White's injury too, that really didn't help us.

And strangely...while nostalgia had me clinging to our old goal horn, I think I can actually say I like our horn now better.

The Rock is a far better arena to be sure, but I still have some nostalgia for the CAA. I loved that the exit for the Meadowlands was 16W, the wins needed for the Cup. Until we win a Cup at the Rock, all our championship memories are at the CAA, and there's something to be said for that, even if the old barn is hopelessly outdated now.

I just miss the tailgating and random Daneyko appearances.
