The Grinder 07-23-2009, 08:58 PM Yep I was at this game. I remember because when Patty got the hatty my friend took my hat off my head and threw it on the ice. He then proceeded to throw a honey mustard package out onto the ice which one of the officials had to clean up. This was the first game I went to without my parents as well. Oh the history. Colin Whites Eye 07-23-2009, 08:59 PM i was at this game too Big Drive 07-23-2009, 09:07 PM chico called DiPi a golden retriever haha Njdevilsfireonice30 07-23-2009, 09:07 PM I have an Elias Gamer from 03/4 :) Can't wait to see #26 in the rafters! It was one of the earliest games I attended and all I remember was the Devils won 6-0 and the A-line had an amazing game, which means it can't have been this one. (yes, gomez included), I thought we were gonna go all the way with them. The tenacity of that team, especially in this game one was so good. But remember White's injury too, that really didn't help us. And strangely...while nostalgia had me clinging to our old goal horn, I think I can actually say I like our horn now better. daveskirtun 07-30-2009, 09:56 PM Hennnnnnnnnrik SixStringAddict 07-30-2009, 10:10 PM Damn do I miss that '06 team. The Rock kicks its asss and takes its lunch money. daveskirtun 08-07-2009, 03:54 PM I always fall asleep early on Thursdays and miss these:( Darius Dangleaitis 08-07-2009, 03:59 PM Patty<3 Saugus 08-07-2009, 06:14 PM Second the motion. Was already living in Jersey when they built the place. Did not age well, to put it mildly. The Rock kicks its asss and takes its lunch money. The Rock is a far better arena to be sure, but I still have some nostalgia for the CAA. I loved that the exit for the Meadowlands was 16W, the wins needed for the Cup. Until we win a Cup at the Rock, all our championship memories are at the CAA, and there's something to be said for that, even if the old barn is hopelessly outdated now. daveskirtun 08-07-2009, 06:52 PM I just miss the tailgating and random Daneyko appearances. | ||
