How old does the player have to be for their salary to count against the cap? Is there anyway that the Ducks could front load a contract and get the cap number lower even though he'll retire anyway?

Some article the past week seemed to indicate that Murray expects Rob (and someone else I can't recall) to move on. I think it was one of the "random media" ones that mentioned a few other guys as well. I'm pretty sure it was the Register.

Now that you mention it, that sounds more right. Because I kept thinking Beauchemin was the "other player," but knew that Beauchemin was not "might move on" but was "would be taking offers and may allow the Ducks to match."
