Can anyone help me with some arena information. Looking for the 3 "best" arenas in the Czech Republic, with the following information:
- Name of Facility
- English Translation (if applicable)
- Location (just the city is fine)
- Capacity (and seating capacity if different)
- Year Built (or approx. age if unknown)

I'm Looking for the biggest and/or most modern arenas anywhere in the country.

Thank you!

I think 2 "best" are as follows:
1.Sazka Arena (no translation needed...Sazka is czech company), Prague, 18 000, just built, completely new :)
2.Duhova Arena (Rainbow Arena), Pardubice, +-9 500, 1962 (but modernized in 2001).

3. I do not know which should be the third...maybe Toyota Arena in Prague.

Please somedy complete it :)

Thanks Tuq. I've heard about a new arena in Prague called "Hagibor Arena" or something. Do you know anything about it?

Is there anything in Ostrava?

Yes there is, a reconstructed Vitkovice Arena in which WC will take place, see http://www.mshokej2004.cz (there is English version too)...I havenīt been there since the renovation so I canīt judge it.

Another links:
www.sazkaarena.cz Completely new one, yesterday our president opened it ;)
www.arenapce.cz Duhova(Rainbow) Arena in Pardubice, but WC doesnīt take place here, only in Prague and Ostrava (Vitkovice Arena).

About that "Hagibor Arena"...it was projected to build an arena on Hagibor (itīs a part of Prague) but the project wasnīt realized, there is Sazka Arena instead.

Hagibor arena has never been built, it was ment to be the arena for WC but finally it was decided to build SAZKA arena.
In Ostrava, there is CEZ arena, I am unable to tell you more about this place, just that some games on this years WC will be played there.
The third best arena in the Czech republic is the Budvar arena in Ceske Budejovice
with its capacity 7100. It has been renovated the last year.

Just part of my neverending quest for information that I'll never use. :D

Actually, I am working on a project. Nothing exciting.

Thanks to everyone for their help.

Hi. This isn`t really about arenas, but I still post it here.

How much does a ticket to hockey game cost in Czech? :help: I am asking this because my cousin is in Czehc and he told, that when he went to the quarterfinals a ticket cost something like 0,8 euros (same in dollars). I don`t know did he get a seat with that or did he have to stand, but still it`s pretty damn cheap if it is so. Here in Finland I can only dream about ticket prices that low. :shakehead

Actually, during regular season its 1.5 euro a ticket for standing and 3 euros for a seat. Playoff games are usually more expensive. Still, the ticket for one seat, final game in a new SAZKA arena costs 6 euros. YES, very cheap, dont understand how you guys can pay so much for a ticket in N.A. or in Finland.
No, I CAN understand that, I would go there anyway.
