I wouldnt look to much into what Conte said... i mean he was asked about a prospect in the draft, he would have to be a HUGE jerk to not be positive. I mean anything he says could effect where he goes.

Well if he bolts across the river after his ELC expires, we'll get compensated for it. Passing on Palmieri just because he's a Rags fan would be a silly.

I think he meant it as a compliment to Palmieri, in which he would rather see him go to the NYR, or any other team not named the NJD.

I'm not sure whether Palmieri is a very common last name, at least in North America. It might be in Italy. That would be pretty crazy to have to two unrelated Palmieri's on the same line.

I like what I've read about him, although I'm a little skeptical about players coming out of the US Development Program.

hmmm...I say Brayden Schenn fits that description better than Palmieri, but that is just me.

If we draft Palmieri, I'd like to see them try to trade down and grab an extra 2nd. He may still be there around 27. If the first 3 rounds looked something like this, I'd be more than happy....
