Good to see him get his 2nd Cup.

Congrats to Bylsma too.

Way to go Kunie! So happy for him and Bylsma. I was happy to see Sykora get to skate around with the Cup (and drop a fat F-bomb on national TV) seeing how he was unconscious in a Dallas hospital the first time he won it.

But most of all I'm happy the Red Wings lost and on home ice. God I hate the Red Wings.

Nobody deserved to lose more than Hossa:laugh::laugh:

This couldn't have gone any better in my book except for the Ducks being in the final.

I wouldn't mind seeing Hossa in an Anaheim jersey next year. Just saying....

I wonder how teams are going to approach Ty Conklin this summer. Dude is Cup repellent. This is the third time in the last four years he was the backup to losing team in the Finals. That's unreal.

It was nice seeing Kunitz, Sykora and Bylsma hoist the cup. Actually, I am just glad Detroit didn't win it back to back.

Good to see that Kunitz and Bylsma win the cup, and Malkin win the Conn Smythe. Anything is better than seeing Detroit win it again.

This is pretty sick, but I may have gotten more pleasure out of seeing Detriot lose this year than when the ducks won.

I can't wait to see some people photoshop Hossa's picture after the game.

1 year Detriot for a better chance at the cup 7.4 million
Passing 7 years at Pittsburg -43 million
Losing to Pitsburgh in Game 7... Priceless

I have to say though Zetterberg is the best player in the league.

I don't care much about Detroit winning or losing, but definitely seeing Hossa get a taste of karmic justice is quite gratifying.

I'm glad Kunitz got to win his second Cup, always liked Kunie. That said, Malkin is scary. Man is he good. Detroit losing on home ice though was great.

I don't really feel bad for Hossa at all. He bolted on a team that just made it to the finals so he could sign with a "better" team for a chance to win a Cup. However, he goes on to lose in the playoffs the very next season. That sounds kind of familiar... :sarcasm:

I'll pretty much echo everything that's been said:

I'm Happy That:

- Detroit lost at home and their fans got to watch another team lift the cup in the Joe :handclap:

- Hossa got what he deserved

- Kunitz won it again, and I'm also really happy for Bylsma, what a job he did taking over as coach over there.

I still wish it was us, but hey, can't win em all. Congrats to the Penguins.:handclap:

having a roommate who is from pittsburgh and is a crazed pens fan was awesome to see him so happy. and i got so much satisfaction from seeing nbc continuing showing hossa and this shocked look on his face. such an amazing outcome.

one of the best parts about this is that we can enjoy the win vs san jose now instead of just being pissed on the loss vs detroit.

I'm particularly happy for Bylsma, he got burned in the Cinderella team back in 2003, so it's awesome to see him winning it all finally.

I'm happy also fro Kunitz, Sykora and Satan, but the best part is to hear rants from those sorry losers fans of the Red Wimps.

I really wanted Detroit to win. I just truly hate our commissioner that much and knew it would have pissed him off. Good to see sykora though.

I personally like to think that every play, hit, scrum, etc... clean or not... somehow contributed to the Red Wings fatigue and ultimately caused them to fall that much short.

With the Wings now whining about Crosby's not shaking hands with some of them because he was late to the handshake line, I feel even better about Detroit losing.

Seriously, after years of seeing Wings fans defend Chelios for skipping handshake lines whenever he felt like it, I think it's absolutely delightful that now it's a big deal to them.

Granted, Crosby as captain should have been right near the front of the line, no excuse for that. But if any team has zero right to complain about getting snubbed, it's Detroit.

I don't think Crosby did anything wrong. The Pens were celebrating and the Wings should have waited until they were all ready to shake hands. It's Lidstrom own damn fault for rushing through there. If he wanted shake Crosby's hand he should have skated over to him and shook his hand. The kid was about the hoist the Stanley Cup for the first time, he obviously had other things on his mind.

Man, I love Kunitz. I'm sure he was traded to the Pens because of his salary, which is really the only undesirable thing about him. I'm glad to see Whitney doing well in Anaheim. He's got such high potential but just never seemed like it was going to work out in Pittsburgh for some reason.

Bylsma, what more can you say?

Kunitz really helped solidify and stabilize the Pens. Have to feel bad for Whitney.
