I'm actually gonna say 2001. Chistov was a huge bust obviously... However, Martensson in the 7th round and a solid backup in Gerber in the 8th round are good picks. Parenteau is a good 9th rounder and Perrault a decent 5th rounder.

I'd say 1998, Vish had a decent career with us. Hunter is having a decent career too even if never with the Ducks.

'98, Hunter is solid and Vish a reasonable third pairing defenseman.

1) 98 (depth > Bryzgalov)
2) 2000 (Bryzgalov > some depth)
3) 95 (some depth)
4) blech, getting too painful

And this is why I wouldn't be surprised if MacMillan ended up busting. With a history like this, I just can't get my hopes up.
