Saskatoon Blades General Manager Brent McEwen this morning announced that Head Coach Jamie Reeve’s contract with the club will not be extended.
Reeve, took over the club on October 27th from Kevin Dickie. Jamie was a goaltender for the Regina Pats beginning in 1982 through 1985. Jamie began his coaching career as an assistant with the Moose Jaw Warriors in 1992. He also has coaching experience with the Tacoma Rockets, Spokane Chiefs and Swift Current Broncos. In 1998 Jamie and his family moved to Japan where he was the head coach of the Japan Nippon Paper Cranes of the Japan Ice Hockey League through until the fall of 2002.
Assistant coach Bruno Baseotto’s status with the club will be determined at the end of May 2004.
