Hello,

My brother recently moved to Minsk to work with the Dinamo Minsk hockey team. I am hoping someone who reads this forum may have some insight into living in Minsk. Specifically, some insight into calling Canada from Minsk, internet connections, banking, restaurants, etc. Any info would be great.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Derek

P.S. I now have a favourite KHL team to cheer for...just got to find me a jersey.

As far as calling Canada-Belarus, use Skype. Skype-to-Skype is free, but you can also call landline phone or cellphone for approximately $0.25/min. All I can tell your brother doesn't need an advise. Belorussian hotties will show him everything he needs to know about HEAVEN!

I could be wrong but I don't believe Canada has Skype-in. Only Skype-out.

you can't call from a landline to Skype, no matter where you live. It was not designed so. But you can call from Skype to landline phone anywhere in the world. And I mentioned before Skype-to-Skype is free, so this is the best option for your brother.

So is all the ex-Russian block.

I am sad for the one who has not seen this spectacular ratio of good looking girls.

The worst is when you start talking or communicating with them ... you notice that the ratio of good and smart girls is also spectacularly high.

what is even worse, is that the ratio of material and self-interested girls is rapidly increasing. poor things affected by the contemporary pop culture and paris hilton's 'values'.

It was erotic.

Was it also strange, and did you become a woman during said trip?
