A lot of people rant and rave about Suglobov. Everyone is saying is has huge offensive potential. But from the stats I've seen, he's never put up any large numbers. He plays an undisciplined and unintelligent game. Can anyone please tell me what everyone is raving about? Same thing with Pihlman, anyone care to englighten me?
Also, anyone know the status of Pihlman, Foster, DeMarchi, ect and if they might play next year?

No....you read the HF devils page and didn't look at his rookie season stats in the AHL. He plays with an edge and sure does have hockey sense...an issue he has carried since his draft day. Look at his stats before the wrist injury....21 points in 26 games on the horrible rats (sorry ratsgirl lol)

from the games i've seen him play this season, i'd say most of the "rave" about suglobov is that he's not your ordinary Devils grinder type player. He's got a nose for the net, and his skating and puckhandling skills can be absolutely dazzling. He's the type of player you might pay to go see, even if the team he plays on sucks. But like you said, he's not always very disciplined (though today he was great), and he can be very selfish, carrying the puck for too long and causing bad turnovers.

With talent like that the Devils will be sure to give him every opportunity to win a spot next year. We can always use more offensive help, in fact if he didn't get hurt at Albany they might have given him another shot this year.
