I honestly believe that the Guelph Storm have the best team in Guelph history to go to the cup! i would like to hear what everyone's opinions are and i would request that london people dont try and say they are going to the cup because i believe that they will be put out second round but that is just my opinion! if dayl hunter or his idiotic brother were not in charge they would have the cup wrapped up but those two idiots will try and make it a "gong-show" with whom ever they play so they will be done in hte second round! :joker:

lol Guelph has not got the goaltending to go all the way IMHO... It is Dale Hunter by the way, and judging by what his teams have done in the last couple years in the playoffs, and with all the talent they have this year I would not bet against London, you don't set all those records by fluke..It is gonna be tough for anyteam to beat London in a 7 game series with the Knights having home ice all the way through..... Good Luck to your Storm but I think your team will have a tougher time making it out of the 2nd round then London..

So if London and Guelph are favored out of the midwest
Plymouth out of west
Barrie and Toronto out of the central
Ottawa out of EAst

Right now would you guys would rate this?

Then for the final London vs Barrie?

And who is coming to Kelowna for the Cup?

I'm hoping for a Fleury vs. O'Sullivan re-match

IceDogs Vs Screaming Eagles

Wouldn't that be fun?

That would be interesting....... How many of us would cry if Fleury shut O'Sullivan down THIS time?

It's going to be an interesting road for the OHL representative in Kelowna..... I think you can never count Ottawa out, but I think they'll have a hard time getting past Toronto/Mississauga/Barrie. In the West, I think London is as close to a lock as you can get *hopes typing it jinxes it and Guelph or Owen Sound represent the West*

GuelphStormFan74: commenting on the London Knights. i believe that they will be put out second round but that is just my opinion

Currrently it's none other than the Guelph Storm who are 1 win away from not living to see round 2. Worry about Guelph before London.

Stoags: Coomments on GuelphStormFan74. Guelph has not got the goaltending to go all the way IMHO

Couldn't agree with you more. This series would be over, if not for the poor display between the pipes by the Guelph Storm.

I can see London and Plymouth in the West Final, with London winning in 5 games. Guelph has some huge goaltending problems that really can't be fixed. And if they just so happen to beat Owen Sound in game 7, they have the daunting task of going up against a well rested Plymouth Whalers team, whom the Storm have had trouble beating all year. The Storms Front Office is being killed by a silencer. What I mean is, the Storm's goaltending was never exposed through the 68 game schedule, playoffs are proving to be a totally different game. Now it's too late, Dennis is gonna have to take the team by the horns and be just be solid. Solid will get them past the Attack, but solid is not what he has shown in his 3 games (.870sp?????).

London has won all games by 4 goals or more. This may be the best team the CHL has ever seen. Cape Breton, London, Kelowna and Red Deer will all be in the memorial cup.

Cape Breton is anything but a locke for the Memorial Cup. Gatineau and CB were close all season with Gatineau having the better record in the end. Having watched CB a lot this year, they have a great roster, but need to work on their play as a team. For a team with their roster, Houle/Fleury have had to face a lot more quality shots than they should. Gatineau's a fantastic team that has a great coach and arguably the best captain in the CHL.

True but our team has had its fair share of injuries all year. It seems every couple of games Bernier has a nagging injury or something of the sort. I am actually surprised that amount of shots Fleury is faceing in the playoffs given our defense has Ramhold, Picard, Villi, and Pardy. Seems forward coverage is poor in the games I seen.

Against Owen Sound, Guelph were not good, just scraped by. Also, they play about 10 players a game and the same 6 forwards over and over again. I think they'll get tire at some stage.

I tend to agree with that last comment. The Storm players were exhausted in the fifth period tonite and got extremely lucky to come out with the win. I am a storm fan but they should give these 10-12 players a medal fort the time they logged tonite.
Their weak point is their goalies, but not tonite. Adam Dennis came up big when needed, actually spectacular on a couple of plays. Klein played terribly tonite, and Paille, St. Pierre, and Matt Ryan were kept well in check by the Whalers.
The line of Koreis, Spurr, and Janssen played very well tonite. Janssen kept the Whalers dancin with their heads up and played his best game of the season.
The Guelph defence has to improve in advancing the puck out of their own end or the Knights will burn them bad.
Overall, the Storm are playing good hockey...but are getting tired due to the sheer minutes logged.
Go Storm Go.

you have to be kidding me right you baffoon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! London out in the 2nd round, well they've now swept both series and have won 24 of 25 and since jan 1 they are 34-3-1.......... and you thought they'd get beat in the 2nd round.

well now that London and Guelph are both to the conference finals i'm prediciting London in 5 or 6 at the very most and if Guelph is lucky and I mean lucky.

I know Guelph has a great team but this is London's year, they will win their first OHL Title in 39 years and have a great chance as being the Mem Cup Champs!!!!!!!!!

I already know your going to reply saying Guelph will win in 7, but lets just think
about that now. Can Guelph's girly goaltending stop : Perry, Schremp, Bolland, Sheppard, Wideman, Kell. And if these guys are slow out of the gates there Khomotuv, Prust, Richmond, Hunter. I think they may be able to shut down 1 or 2 but not all of these explosive weapons. Just too many cannon balls being shot right through Guelph's goalie.

I'm sorry to say this dude but soon you will realize what an ass you made of yourself and then everyone in London can laugh at you!!!!

What are everyone's predictions for London vs. Guelph??????????????

Anyone wanna bet against London???

I'm no big OHL fan, but I gotta root for the home team (Storm, G-Dot represent). Anyone knows that London has trouble with Guelph, not to mention the fact that Guelph is just INSANE this year.

In summary - if Toronto loses soon (and they won't, damn it) I'll be following the Storm's trip to the Memorial Cup pretty closely. But I won't. Because Leafs rule. Sorry guys.

Guelph fan here saying you are probably right with London in 6, or maybe 7. The only real snipers to worry about on your list however are Perry, Scremp, Bolland and Wideman. The rest are future university or ECHL players. Your opinion of them is a little high. Good team though that will probably go all the way.

Guelph and London series looked like it will be a classicin the semi finals.

Now that one of the favorites, Cape Breton is knocked out that leave Gatineau as the odds on favorite right now from the Q. Maybe a Gatineau, Rimouski final?

If I had to pick a couple teams from the WHL, I would guess Medicine Hat and Kelowna. Medicine Hat is high octane team and sounds like they are playing very well after kncking out Brandon last night.
