Game Breaker 04-26-2009, 02:34 PM I am the same exact way. Being uncomfotabley hot while trying to sleep is one of the worst feelings ever. Yea, I need the room to have some air in it and if it's hot, I will just lay there awake, it's a terrible feeling. Harrison Ford 04-26-2009, 02:35 PM Yea, I need the room to have some air in it and if it's hot, I will just lay there awake, it's a terrible feeling. Yep, and then you try to find the cold spots in your blankets and turn over your pillow and stuff to make it better. yechh I hate even thinking about it. BrodeursCups 04-26-2009, 02:40 PM I agree with everyone saying they can't sleep in the heat. I also can't sleep without a fan in my room. It has to be on high too. yakitate304 04-26-2009, 02:54 PM I don't really mind the heat until it starts to push 90-95. We have Central Air but didn't turn it on yesterday (80-85ish most of the day). I just turned on the fan/"ion" in my room at the foot of my bed and opened a window to get a nice breeze coming in. Our basement stays nice and cold all year round, so I put a fan at the bottom of the stairs to blow some of that air up, it cooled the house down by about 4-5 degrees. Genius, I know. I miss having a pool though, we had to take ours down a few years ago, and my girlfriend's pool got **** up in a windstorm last year when a gigantic tree branch fell on it. BrodeursCups 04-26-2009, 03:00 PM I don't really mind the heat until it starts to push 90-95. EDIT: "ions" are particles with a charge (+ or -) so the term "ionic" probably is referring to "charging the air particles" that's my best explanation without cheating yakitate304 04-26-2009, 03:24 PM without knowing the specifics, here i go: running a current through a piece of metal (which i think is whats goin on here) gives it a charge. this electrical charge is similar to a magnetic field. it causes the air particles (dust and others) to build up a charge (like static electricity) that allows it to "stick" to another piece of metal in the filter as it passes through. The defenseman takes a hack at my balls. As the play goes into our zone, I see him getting off, and thinking I may not get a chance to tell him off for a while, I decide to yell at him "You wanna hit me in the ****in balls again you ****in *****?" Much to my misfortune, the play ended as I was yelling. The ref says "Stay out of it." "You missed him hitting me in the balls?" "Stay out of it." "They're my balls. You want me to stay out of it?" Instant unsportsmanlike conduct. Unsportsmanlike #2: It's now the third period. The sack-tapper is on the ice, so I'm gunnin the whole shift. We had a 2-on-1, and the goalie froze it. The defenseman stops by the side of the net, and I promptly plow him (it wasn't too late after the whistle). Then I get jumped by 5 guys. Me and the other team are having a shouting match now. The ref says "Shut up and get in the box." "I just got ****ing gangbanged down there." Hence, 2 for cross checking and 2 for unsportsmanlike. Cowbell232 04-27-2009, 12:29 PM So, me and my girlfriend Sarah went to see Harrison Ford's band Fish For Bears play last Saturday night along with CJ and her boyfriend Tony. They played an absolutely great show. That kid is talented, let me tell you. Then me and Tony had to hold CJ back from fighting K-tramp. (She's no longer K-Train). Harrison's girlfriend is much cuter anyway. (Good for him, right?) So the four of us are walking out through this high school parking lot where this show occurred, and we almost got run over by a giant Land Rover. We instantly think "Soccer Mom" and CJ begins making fun of woman drivers. I off-handly mention its probably some kid who shouldn't be driving anything bigger then a bicycle. He pulls out of the space horribly, and it sure was a 17-year old kid. And he continued to back up horribly, right into a garbage can, knocking it over with a glorious thud leaving us laughing hysterically. ----- tl;dr Some kid at a prep school knocked over a garbage can as we were making fun of his lack of driving ability.
