pattyelias 04-23-2009, 12:05 PM This is a tradition that I think needs to be continued. I'll be in 107 after hopefully successfully annihilating a beer vessel over at Hell's Kitchen. As for the crowd I'll go with 17,302 even though it will in all likelihood be announced as a Gomez.
cj225 04-23-2009, 12:07 PM 225, Gomez....

I agree. I just think this thread needs to be here. I feel it in my bones. If I'm wrong you can come over to 107 and dump a beer on my head.
Colin Whites Eye 04-23-2009, 12:11 PM gomez
will be there in 214 as always
9302njd 04-23-2009, 12:13 PM Will be there after being out of town for game 2. Bringing my buddy who is a new fan of the NJD. He had a great time in Game 1, bought a NJD shirt & hat and is looking forward to rockin his red.
I would be disappointed if it isn't a gomez. This is the pivotal game.

I'll be watching this one from home, GB and JB have my tickets and they better be loud and rowdy! (somehow I don't see that being an issue, especially GB)

Isnt 21 the McCarter Highway? You can park on it?
I drove to the Tampa game and parked on Market Street, but I had to sit in my car for 30 minutes since you technically cant park there until 6pm.

The other side of 21...meaning you need to cross 21, head towards Hell's Kitchen and there's parking there.

Exactly what CJ said. Rt 21 is McCarter Highway. You can park on Lafayette between the Rock and 21, but I don't know the legalities of it, but I see cars there all the time. But it is 100% legal on the other side of McCarter Highway (by Hell's Kitchen and the surrounding side streets all offer free street parking in a pretty safe, well lit area with lots of foot traffic after games.)

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll leave at around 3:20, which should get me there before 4pm so hopefully I should find some cheapskate parking.
I'm going to hit up Hobby's when I get there because it's inexcusable that I have never been there.

Hobby's is good stuff. Little creepy walking there depending on your background though. I know some people that just don't like walking there, but I don't have any problems.

Depends...
Do you live in like, the Upper East Side or like, Harlem?
The best comparison to anywhere I've ever been in NYC is like Alphabet City near Tompkins Square Park at night. You've heard some crazy stories about it, so you're watching around at night, but nothing really ever happens when you're there, lol.

The area around Tompkins Square on Ave A and B is really cool. Tons of bars and restaurants. When was the last time you were over there? All those crazy stories tend to from the 80s when the area was supposedly genuinely frightening.

I loathe alphabet city. Yes, there are lots of neat little bars and you're right it's not dangerous, but that area is absolutely overrun by obnoxious college students that cant hold their liquor and vomit on people's shoes.

I'm not in college anymore, but I can't hold my liquor and I frequently vomit on people's shoes. Guess that's why I like the neighborhood. Plus there is a great Korean restaurant called Bonjoo over on 1st Ave and 6th, a couple blocks away. Highly recommended.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. What are you trying to say, I talk a lot or something?
Meh, I live in NYC, I cant imagine how bad it could be.
Lol, walking around the city at night/early morning will prepare you for anything. On my friend's bday last year (middle of may), we were in a club and he gave me his keys and said he was going back to this girl's place. It wasn't like I was in the ghetto or anything, just quite an interesting journey at 3 am when I don't really know where I am or how to get to where I need to do. I got screamed at to move when I wasn't even in the woman's way, got asked for money twice, and got asked for "snow".
Should I pick up some Bacardi Razz? :sarcasm:
LOLZzZ. Then he'll be hugging me again and Chris Hansen will drop down from a zip line.

NJDevs26 04-24-2009, 12:03 AM There was a Lundqvist jersey in 208 that was catching crap the whole game. I loved it when the little girl went up to him and handed him a Rangers Suck sticker!

Brooklyndevil 04-24-2009, 09:23 AM Aside from an incredible performance by Marty, I thought Gio, Shanny, Madden and Pando had great games as well and a beauty of a redirection by Clarkson. On defense, very impressed again with Colin White and how do you take Greene out of the line-up. He was poised, moved the puck quickly out of the zone and hit the net most of the night.
I also hope the Captain is back for Sunday's game or pray he's back for game 7, if it comes to it. Rolston just isn't meshing with the ZZ boys and is playing soft. That line misses Jamie's grit. We witnessed one of the great playoff goaltending duels last nigh. Wow!
