I'm thinking of heading down to Newark for game #5 but first of all, i'd like to get some "tips" from some of you.

1) What's the best section I should go for ???
2) What's the best place for a pre-game "smashfest" ???
3) What's the parking situation around the Prudential center ??? When i went to Ottawa we had to wait in my car for 4 hours just to get out of the ****ing parking lot !!!

Thanks :yo:

How much do you want to spend?

2) What's the best place for a pre-game "smashfest" ???

There are plenty of bars in the area (BCBG, Hell's Kitchen, Scully's all within a 2 block walk)

3) What's the parking situation around the Prudential center ??? When i went to Ottawa we had to wait in my car for 4 hours just to get out of the ****ing parking lot !!!

There's parking all over the place with easy access to Rt. 21 or Broad Street (usually the faster of the 2).

I'm guessing this will answer most of your questions? http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=621943

As for #1, depends on your price range, etc.

I don't have a budget... It's gonna be my first ever game LIVE in New Jersey so money isn't even a question. I just want to be in the best section so I can go bananas and cheer for my team whitout having any Habs fans telling me to "shut the **** !!!".

Well if you can get seats in 232 or 226, that would be your best options! The fans in/around these sections are awesome!

as for parking, there is nothing in the world like Ottawa. god, that sucked. but I was probably one of five people in the lot that was happy, so **** the rest of them.

there's plenty of parking around and not that much traffic postgame. Ottawa is just an example of a lot that is too large, has next to no exits, and dumbass parking attendants who stuff everyone in without any regard for "hey, how are they going to leave?"

maybe after a Giants/Jets game... but that's 60,000 more people. I never saw anything like that in my life. I didn't even pull out of my spot until an hour after the game was over. Yeah, I guess it would be great to tailgate and all, but I've got Jersey plates (this was Game 7 in 2003) so I'm just trying to lay low.

in the auxillary lots (which they fill randomly instead of last)... there's no lines. or at least there weren't at the time. they just pointed where to park and you parked there. they basically set you up door to door and with not enough room to pull out.
it blew.

I must have been parked in a place that was easy to exit, because I had no problem leaving when I was up there. If you think about it, the arena is in the middle of nowhere, so it really shoudnt be a problem.

EDIT: I also must say that I loved that arena. If the Devils play the SENS-AH-ME in the playoffs sometime, I will definitely head back.

I had club seats, I think I was eligible for valet parking if I wanted to pay for it. Problem was I didn't know I had club seats until I got into the building

1.) The best experience is the upper deck in my opinion, the sight lines are great for the money and you are surrounded by the best fans. This is the view from 225.

2.) Scully's on Clinton St or Brick City Bar and Grill right across from the Devils Team Store.
3.) 30 dollars to park right across the street, very reasonable cheaper pricing all around the arena. I always take the train in so I never drive to the Rock.

If money isnt an issue at all and it's the first time you're ever going to see The Rock, you might as well buy the lower bowl center ice Club seats. They're $250 face, but STH get them for $200, and you can often find them for sale between $175-$230. It includes food and access to the private lounges, the seats are larger, and you even get a cupholder! :D If I were only able to see 1 game per year, you bet your azz this is where I would sit.

If you want to go the cheaper route, there are Upper Level center ice seats on Stubhub below face value at $45. Even though it's UL, you get a great view of the entire ice.

Whatever you do, do not pick the Mezzaine level, a waste of cash when you can be sitting at the UL for a much cheaper price.

We won our semi final game yesterday against the #1 team (they lost only 3 games out of 50) and the final is on Thursday... ****ING THURSDAY  !!!

I have a big delima now. Either go the finals and try to win a cup (would be my 1st in 4 years) or go to game #5 at the Prudential center for the first time ?!?!?

My decision will be a lot easier after tonight's game I guess. If Devils win, they'll be up 3 Vs 1 which means that i'll have a very very very very good chance of seing them in round #2 but if it goes back to New Jersey tied at 2, I might **** my team over for my REAL TEAM.

Make your decision after tonight, if the Devils win it'll be 3-1 so there will be another home game no matter what happens. If it's 2-2 I think you should still win the cup with your team. (Good luck).

You don't want to valet. They do that when they overstuff the lot.
