Sell-out?

Does anyone that went to this game think it was sold out? I know they can say it is on paper, but there looked like there was at least 1000-1500 seats empty, plus at least 8 empty boxes ( I dont know if those count towards the 17625).

I am sure i will get bashed for this thread because I am an HF newbie and dont have 15,000 posts. but i really dont care

There were even empty patches upstairs, so no not everyone showed up. But downstairs is hard to count in some places because people sit in the ****in bar the entire time, for whatever reason.

I agree. Attendance wins cups so I completely understand why we'd inflate ours...

Friday will be a madhouse.

It looked like the club seats were a little depleted but people are always gorging themselves in the lounges (including myself when I'm home). Other than that it looked pretty full on TV.

As someone who's missed all of 2 home games this year...yes that was a sellout. I always go by the end zone balconies and the mezz levels, which were packed. Yes there were spots that were empty, but that was thanks to the ******* brokers who bought up seats hoping we played the Rangers and couldnt offload em, those still count as seats sold even if those ******** can't sell em.

and seriously, even though this really didn't need its own topic and everyone that was there was aware the building wasn't full...

I has season tickets all of last year, however this year I lived in COlorado and was unfamiliar with the crowd. I amhome for easter and a week or so, so this is my 3rd game at the rock this year, and 4th on friday...

Overall concensious? all seats were sold but the brokers and rich bastarts couldnt re-sell them? I want to make sure I am on the same page.....

Also one other question: Do the box seats go towards the 17625? I saw at least 7 empty blacked out boxes. Are they sold and not attended? or do those not count toward the 17625?


ANYWAY, great atmosphere, I Was in 228 row 3 with jerk ranger fan in front of me, and a conplete loser Flyer fan who was wearing a flyers jersey standing and chearing the whole third, he got so bashed by the fans it was great.... did anyone else see that? IT was hillarious..

crowd sounded pretty good on TV. I think a lot of the excitement had to do with the devils fast start really getting the crowd into it early.

I fully expect the crowd to be really rocking on Friday. I expect the same kind of atmosphere that we had when Marty broke the record.

It was a great crowd last night, and there were WAY, WAY more people than I was expecting given all the unsold tickets floating around on EBAY, Stubhub, Devs ticexchange, (you name it), etc.... IMO, it couldnt have been a sellout unless the ticket brokers took the mother-of-all-baths. But it was interesting the plethora of entire rows empty where you could just see what a beating they took.

I saw that guy going out to the smoking lounge and it was a horrible knock-off of a real Rag jersey. The name on the back was Phillips and it was #80. The lettering was the wrong style and it was placed all wrong on the jersey. He was the definition of a tool box.
