Dipshrek28 04-15-2009, 12:47 AM Tomorrow at the game (and throughout the entire playoffs i'm assuming) the Devils will be handing out towels to all fans in attendance in case you were wondering.
I was one of the people hoping they'd hand out red t-shirts to all the fans like they did in Washington. That just looks pretty sick. So it sucks that they wont be doing that but thank God they're not bringing back the thunder sticks.

God damnit.

Clarkson Falls Down 04-15-2009, 01:02 AM I quickly read the title and swore it read "Devils to Hand Out Tickets".
Sadly, or luckily (depending on how you look at it), I could see this happen.

sattar18 04-15-2009, 03:32 AM They handed out towels last year which is still in my closet. We only got to use it for one goal :(
Sarge18 04-15-2009, 03:41 AM i think the last time the handed out pom poms was in 2003,
It was thundersticks for every game in 2003, and then thundersticks and enormous towels that hit the person behind you in the finals. They gave out pom-poms in 2002, along with white shirts that nobody wore for the first game. Now that I think of it, I'm not sure what they gave out in 2004. I think it was thundersticks again for all two of our playoff games.
Game Breaker 04-15-2009, 08:50 AM I like the pom poms; they remind me of the 2000 and 2001 era. I hope they drop the rock your red riff raff if the towels are white.
DevFan-RU- 04-15-2009, 09:42 AM I just hope I don't get hit in the eye with a whipped towel. That's usually what happens when people have em. :(
Captain Lou 04-15-2009, 10:02 AM WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY back when in the late 80's and early 90's they gave out foam fingers. I can still remember pointing the finger at a certain Islander goalie:
"HRU-DEY, HRU-DEY, HRU-DEY!"
in unison with 19,000 other Devil fans in 1988.
DevsOwnYou 04-15-2009, 11:09 AM Red towels would be ideal but since white towels probably cost less to make we will see them, sponsered by some company.
Just show up has to be the theme for us fans, too many folks who can afford tickets seem to be sitting this one out for some reason.

I now have 4 left. Enough for each playoff series.
NJDevilDave227 04-15-2009, 02:33 PM If somehow the entire building was to be filled w/ red.. I think it would look pretty damn cool at The Rock. The Rock being loud and electric wont happen until we get the the finals because most people wont show up until their team is in the finals, then it will be hard for real fans like us to get tickets.

Just to clarify, they don't hand out t-shirts in Washington. Those shirts are purchased by the fans, talk about a marketing scheme.
Last season and this season to date, the handouts in the playoffs have been the red towels.
On a related note, I know a few years ago, Philly handed out orange t-shirts to all fans entering the game, but not so in Washington.
