Devils To Hand Out Towels

Tomorrow at the game (and throughout the entire playoffs i'm assuming) the Devils will be handing out towels to all fans in attendance in case you were wondering.

I was one of the people hoping they'd hand out red t-shirts to all the fans like they did in Washington. That just looks pretty sick. So it sucks that they wont be doing that but thank God they're not bringing back the thunder sticks.

Towels are the best. Been a while since they brought them back.

A fanfest was planned but I think they said rain all day. I dont see them setting up during rain but who knows.

It was thundersticks for every game in 2003, and then thundersticks and enormous towels that hit the person behind you in the finals. They gave out pom-poms in 2002, along with white shirts that nobody wore for the first game. Now that I think of it, I'm not sure what they gave out in 2004. I think it was thundersticks again for all two of our playoff games.

I like the pom poms; they remind me of the 2000 and 2001 era. I hope they drop the rock your red riff raff if the towels are white.

I just hope I don't get hit in the eye with a whipped towel. That's usually what happens when people have em. :(

Complaining that the tickets went up $10 in the playoffs is the most disgusting thing I've seen.

I remember getting pom-poms my 1st season I had tickets, which was 2000-2001...I MISS THEM!!!

I think it's a good idea. I like the white towels better though to be honest. Reminds me of playoff hockey.

I think the white out looks much cooler then the red but whatever. Both look cool, but I remember the first time I saw the white and it was amazing. I will be wearing my red Elias though tonight I guess.

When I went to the 03 Cup celebration there was some employees handing out all the extra thunder sticks that they didn't use in the playoffs. I must have gotten around 30 packs of those things. I whip em out throughout the years during playoffs in an attempt for good some good luck.

I now have 4 left. Enough for each playoff series.

If somehow the entire building was to be filled w/ red.. I think it would look pretty damn cool at The Rock. White Out type of thing would be cool too, but too many teams do that as it is (Penn St, Penguins to name a few). Everyone wearing red, waving red towels and the building being so loud and electric would be a wet dream of mine.

Yea..that's why I called it a dream if it were loud and electric for game 1 and everyone wore red. Ive seen the CAA loud for a non-stanley cup game..so it definitely is possible!

I also got another one when I walked in, which was even better.

I can't believe we did a successful wave and that people actually chose to wave their towels when the screen said to.

towels are the best stress toy they can give out. tie that son of a ***** up and squeeze it like it's one of those stress balls. it also makes a good projectile then, when things don't go your way.

Just to clarify, they don't hand out t-shirts in Washington. Those shirts are purchased by the fans, talk about a marketing scheme.

Last season and this season to date, the handouts in the playoffs have been the red towels.

On a related note, I know a few years ago, Philly handed out orange t-shirts to all fans entering the game, but not so in Washington.

We were talking about what color we'd pick and then the lady who was doing the bit handed us colors without us picking. Either way it was pretty cool, but sorta embarassing.

The mascot skit with that everywhere man song was absolutely hilarious, especially the scene with him and the abbey road picture. I only saw it at one of the preseason games though.
