I guess White's stiff neck is still giving him trouble...

Niedermayer-Martin
Brown-Giroux
Albelin-Hale

UGH!

With that defense they should at least get past Pittsburgh... White should be back by the weekend for the Montreal home and home... I have also heard but not confirmed as of yet that Clemmensen is in goal tonight. We shall see...

Not that it matters, but I think Tommy and Ray were together with Brown and Hale skating as a physical pair. Am I wrong on this?

I don't know but yesterday in practice at SMA that was the defensive parings... Brown and Giroux is a very good paring...

I agree. It keeps more to the puck-mover / stay-at-home pairings that make up the Devils' system.

god thing we have ok depth at D, it's just too bad we have to use it. Depth always looks better when it is not being used. :)

Considering it was only the Penguins but they were hot as of late going 5-0-1, the Devils played some pretty solid defense considering they were missing three top defensman... I like these parings that Burns had tonight and it is my bad thinking Giroux was with Brown... The parings goes as follows tonight...

Niedermayer-Martin
Giroux-Hale
Brown-Albelin

They played very well tonight and hopefully we can get White back in the line up this weekend vs. the home and home with the Habs...

Defenseman Colin White (stiff neck) and forward Brian Gionta (face) are both expected to return to the lineup tonight. It is from the notes (http://www.nj.com/devils/ledger/index.ssf?/base/sports-1/1079682956291630.xml) at the bottom of the Brodeur-400 article.

Very good news indeed! Especially White with our defense in the state that it is.

This is some excellent news that both Whie and Gionta will be in the lineup tonight vs. Montreal. Now the EGG line will be intact and the new second scoring line of Friesen-Kozlov-Brylin will also be good. Two solid scoring lines for two important games here in the home and home with Montreal... Devils know if they win these two games vs. Montreal, they will have the 6th seed and most likely a higher seed to shoot for and they do not have to worry about the 7th seed and Montreal...
