Brodeur has played 12 games in a row ....
Is this the night he sits out
He played 13 straight games before he sat out...
Are they going to give him a break...
And when....????
Anyone have any news on NJ starting goaltender

I'd play Clemenson vs NYY before I'd play him against the Pens with the way both teams are playing right now. That said, I don't think Marty needs a break. He's used to it.

I'd like to see Marty get more breaks...he's played more hockey over the last 5 years than probably anyone. He says he wants to play a lot because it keeps him sharp, but there's no way playing that much hasn't affected him.
When's the last time Marty missed a Rangers game? (Answer: 1993)
I expect Marty will get a rest this week... but not tonight. Brodeur ALWAYS plays the Rangers. Whether they're competitive or not.

Brodeur has played way longer streaks than this before. He has gone 19, 21, 20 and sometimes longer in his career and this past season. He will play tonight and I expect him to play the last 11 games as the Devils are in a huge hunt for points and placement in the seedings. if we see Clemmensen it would be this Wednesday vs. the Penguins and maybe the Florida or Atlanta game. But I highly doubt we will see Brodeur take a rest as he is shooting for another 40 win season and he knows how important these points are right now. Devils need points period! Brodeur will play!...

The thing is the Rangers, diminished roster or not, will most likely step up their play against the Devils as they do against the Islanders.
I would be shocked if Brodeur didn't play tonight. I was surprised that someone even suggested it. I thought the Chicago game would have been a good time to give him a rest.

Another win for Brodeur vs. the NYR. He is now 28-11-15 career vs. the NYR... He also won his 399th win of his career tonight. #400 could be on Wednesday vs. the Penguins...
