Help greatly appreciated I want to re-create the teams on NHL09. :pickle: hmmm... there's going to be randomness here, I actually think Classic Devil has it down. 2000: Elias-Arnott-Sykora Brylin-Gomez-Mogs now it gets a little tougher. Claude-Holik-McKay Pando-Madden-Nemchinov but that bottom wasn't set in stone. Stevens-Rafalski Neids-Daneyko Malakhov-White 2003: Friesen-Niewy-Langenbrunner Elias-Gomez-Marshall Pando-Madden-Gionta Brylin-Rheaume-Stevenson Stevens-Rafalski Neids-White Albelin-Dano/Tver/Smehlik Blackjack 02-27-2009, 10:46 PM Does anyone know the exact or almost exact lines from the Stanley Cup winning seasons? '95 looks like it's gonna be a pain. NJDevs26 02-27-2009, 10:52 PM The only one from '95 I remember for sure is the easy one, fourth (CRASH) line: Peluso-Holik-McKay I'm probably wrong on the other three lines but here's my best guess: Richer-Broten-MacLean Lemieux-Rolston/Brylin/Dowd-Guerin Chorske-Carpenter-Zelepukin And the d-pairings I'm also a little hazy on: Stevens-Nieds Dano-Chambers Driver-Albelin? devsfan4life 02-27-2009, 10:54 PM I was only 6 in 1995 but I'll take a stab at it. Lemieux-Carpenter-Richer Peluso-Holik-Mckay Chorske-Broten-Maclean Guerin-Dowd/Zelepukin-Rolston/Brylin Stevens-Niedermayer? Dano-Chambers? Driver-Albelin? Marty Classic Devil 02-27-2009, 10:57 PM 2003: Elias - Gomez - Marshall Friesen - Nieuwendyk - Langenbrunner Pandolfo - Madden - Gionta Brylin - Rheaume - Stevenson Bicek, Rupp, McKenzie Stevens - Rafalski Niedermayer - White Albelin - Tverdovsky Daneyko, Smehlik Brodeur Schwab 1999-2000 Elias - Arnott - Sykora Brylin - Gomez - Mogilny Pandolfo - Holik - McKay Madden - Nemchinov - Lemieux Kelly, Brule Stevens - Rafalski Niedermayer - Daneyko Malakhov - White Bombardir Brodeur Terreri I'm 100% sure about these two lineups. I'm working on remembering 1995's precise lineup. I think... 1995 Richer - Broten - Lemieux Guerin - Carpenter - MacLean Peluso - Holik - McKay Chorske - Brylin- Zelepukin Rolston, Dowd Stevens - Niedermayer Daneyko - Chambers Driver - Albelin Brodeur Terreri The problem is 1995 was a lot more fluid than the other years. The first and third lines, though, I'm 95% sure were consistent units - I know Broten and Lemieux spent a lot of time on a line together. fIREnIcE 02-27-2009, 10:59 PM richer-broten-lemuiex rolston-carpenter-guerin chorske-brylin/dowd-zelepukin peluso-holik-mckay Stevens-Neidermeyer Daneyko-Driver Chambers-Albelien Marty Terreri guyincognito 02-27-2009, 11:00 PM you can try to take a stab at '95 from the youtubes I'm pretty sure the pairings are Stevens-Chambers Neids-Dano Driver-Albelin and that the top line is Richer-Broten-Johnny Mac everyone knows the Crash line. DevilsFan38 02-27-2009, 11:00 PM http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=13379&highlight=stanley+lines+crash That thread may help you out for '95. fIREnIcE 02-27-2009, 11:02 PM i remember that the 95 team also had players on all lines that could play anywhere(which det couldnt match line cause even Mckay would play center or dowd/brylin/chorske/cole were so damn fast too) also remember danton cole coming with a trade and kevin dean switching up with albelin fIREnIcE 02-27-2009, 11:05 PM you can try to take a stab at '95 from the youtubes I'm pretty sure the pairings are Stevens-Chambers Neids-Dano Driver-Albelin and that the top line is Richer-Broten-Johnny Mac everyone knows the Crash line. i did a good job but i forgot JOHNNY MAC shame on me....i remember danton friggin cole and kevin effin dean...i feel shame:shakehead guyincognito 02-27-2009, 11:07 PM it's Albelin-Nieds. so, that settles the D fIREnIcE 02-27-2009, 11:08 PM you can try to take a stab at '95 from the youtubes I'm pretty sure the pairings are Stevens-Chambers Neids-Dano Driver-Albelin and that the top line is Richer-Broten-Johnny Mac everyone knows the Crash line. i remember the lines switching pretty regularly especially the D(we had such a good core it didnt matter really) ....it was a trap and who was on was on....every line but the crash line played with different line almost every game fIREnIcE 02-27-2009, 11:13 PM i know we got some great players for guys we traded in 2000 but i kinda feel bad for souray morrison mitchell and rolston and yes even Lyle....what does it take to get a ring with a team you spent most of the season with? BenedictGomez 02-27-2009, 11:57 PM Since people in this thread are answering random questions, does anyone remember Broten scored and jumped up on the glass? fIREnIcE 02-28-2009, 01:34 AM Since people in this thread are answering random questions, does anyone remember Broten scored and jumped up on the glass? yeha i think thers a clip on youtube NJ4 02-28-2009, 01:42 AM Since people in this thread are answering random questions, does anyone remember Broten scored and jumped up on the glass? Wasn't that Mckay? I could be wrong though. devsfan4life 02-28-2009, 01:55 AM Well Mckay jumped on the glass after he scored the OT winner vs boston in the first round of the 1995 playoffs. I don't ever remember Broten doing that... fIREnIcE 02-28-2009, 02:19 AM Wasn't that Mckay? I think guyincognito's right about the d-pairings though, Stevens did play with Chambers. I thought it was Nieds, but he played with Nieds in '94, not the '95 playoffs. BenedictGomez 02-28-2009, 11:32 AM yup was the overtime goal vs boston my memory is shot but still danton cole burns a hole in my mind:help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgPfz49AYsc crash line+23 yr marty:yo: Sweet, thanks for this! I remember being at the game, the vantage point I had, and the glass jumping. I was 99% sure it was the playoffs, but for some reason I thought it was Broten. fIREnIcE 02-28-2009, 03:40 PM Sweet, thanks for this! I remember being at the game, the vantage point I had, and the glass jumping. I was 99% sure it was the playoffs, but for some reason I thought it was Broten. I thought it was Neal at first but I never really felt like a devil unlike Carpenter. The best thing besides wining a cup is having a player that loves being a devil, and the crash loved eery moment of it. The crying celebrations physicallity,...they were something special. In fact I wish they would give Peluso a job with Skrlac as the Devils Ambassor's(clown's lol). In fact i was wondering why they traded Fetisov that seaso just to trade for Chamber's(who I also thought loved it here.) But my heart brokewhe they traded Semak i loved him Zelepukin and Chorske super speed. Ifwe keeptSemak and fetisov Chambers would be need, does anyone know who we got for Vlad?? Anyways I wish so many people could have been part of that team Semak Fetisov(had to hurt but he mad it out ok) Kasitonov(so underated)Aaron Sulliman Patrik Sundstrom Nichols and Stasny Sullivan Smith Souray Bombadir so many more that made us a treat from 92 on( age, injuries and we just had to much coming up...) In fact we may never know why Driver,Neal and Chambers left maybe money but we had a ***** load of talent in the minors. IMO we could have had the rats make the playoffs that year(sure the would have been eliminated early but still we were stacked. hell our ECHL(w/e it it was called then) could have been our Ahl squad. 95 was great souley for the fact these guys loved being devils. It def was the most tears ive seen a team winning a cup! Even Mickey Mouse was balling:naughty: | ||
