Other than that, despite writing a blog and posting here since the Pre-Zoidberg-Ruined-the-Server-Days (aka The G-Man Era; aka Two Thousand and Punk; aka Dustin Rose wasn't run into the ground yet), I've met no one (though if you're near Section 1, you've likely heard me) and now I feel lonely and now I will whine about it because that's the cool thing to do: whine on the Internet™. (Kidding!)

That habs game was great, I snuck into the back of a habs fan group picture and got visciously cursed at in French. It sounded brutal. The mock ole chants were great.

Not that I post a whole lot, but I went to a game with Devsown and I got my opening night tickets at The Rock from Jaime last year.

i walked in around 830 ish i want to say and you were sitting on a bench with your lady friend.

long story short, i drove 2 hours to get there by 830 am for the practice and there was none that day. i knew that may have happened because there was no sure way to know if brent was going to hold practice.

i asked you if anyone showed up or something and you said you were there since 8 and no one had been there. i stuck around until about 12 and there were some grumblings that they were showing up for practice but it didnt happen.

colin white was there (this was right after he got hit in the eye) and he signed some herbie hancocks outside where they park, someone was driving him obviously, but he stopped and i remember this old guy with those old nasty devils hat came up to the car and said "YOU SHOULD WEAR A VISOR" and i think colin got a little spooked

That's the only game I play in casinos. You can do well if you know the rules. I just dont get playing the other games because the odds are so stacked against winning.

Yea, I actually enjoy the game itself, not just the money aspect. I went to foxwoods with my parents after I turned 21 and won $600. My dad was like "i'm surprised you stopped". I honestly didn't even realize how much I had until my chips were hitting my arm, and I looked down and saw 2 big stacks and broke the most important rule, don't count your chips at the table. I counted $625 and was like "ok, I'm done", gave the dealer a $25 and left.

Hmm...where do I begin? La Femme Nakita? Little kid sitting next to him, where is Chris Hansen when we need him? And you guys still text...I guess his gf is just a cover up...and I'm spent.:nod:

Amen to that. I stick to horse racing and football for my gambling needs but occasionally I'll hit a casino and do craps or blackjack. I was in the Bahamas a few years ago and was in the Radisson casino....at the five dollar table...HIGH ROLLERS LOOK OUT! Problem was, there was this annoying ***** at the table who thought there were 2 zeros after that 5 in the minimum bet...she'd be yelling at people for hitting on 15, for not doubling down when they should or splitting on stupid **** saying, "You're screwing up my cards, what the hell are you doing?"

So, me being the pain in the ass I am, I started playing dumb just to piss her off, she snaps and I say, "What am I doing? I'm having fun at a 5 dollar table because I'm on vacation, you want to play with pros, take yourself to the 50 or 100 dollar table and play for real" She looks at the dealer and she calmly says, "Gentleman has a point, perhaps you may find a higher stakes stable to better suit your playing style"

She leaves and every player throws the dealer a chip or two for her graceful suggestion, it was great.

I have started to take the Metropark line now, since its incredibly faster than training it straight from Bay Head. 30 minute drive/30 minute train ride.

I go to Hell's Kitchen a lot because it's cheap and they give me free drinks.

When I want the best food and whatnot I'll go to BCBG.

I will go to Scully's when I don't feel like the Hell's Kitchen atomsphere but don't want top-class like BCBG.

That's an awesome story!!!! A friend of mine witnessed that hit TWICE in one night at the same table, which I would think should be mathematically unheard of.

"You're screwing up my cards, what the hell are you doing?" I was going to say the same thing in reply to the "neurotic" comment. It's completely illogical too, because for every time someone plays dumb and caused you to get a bad card, there's just as much chance their dumb play could cause you to receive a good card.

I agree, I think your best odds are actually at the Roulette or Craps table. I always walk away from those with a few hundred dollars.

i would think the "sharing" of the 2/3 cards affects the odds, but i'm no statistician.

OIC, well a train or bus to Philly, Boston, and Washington are all very cheap options. Of course, the easiest would be the Rags, but I dont see them making the playoffs. Pens will find their game and take #8.
