Well, you might have to go out to a bar and enjoy some adult beverages for this one.
This is what I had to do several years back with that Metro channel nonsense that the evil NYR empire had subjected us to.
Clarkson Falls Down 02-23-2009, 02:23 PM I find it absolutely ridiculous anyway that the game isn't on MSG+. Even though I'm going to the game, I only get MSG and MSG+, so if I wasn't able to go to the game, I wouldn't be able to watch it.
Toronto/Isles shouldn't get precedent. That game means NOTHING.

God the Metro channel was terrible. And we were on that channel entirely to much. I hated it. Even if I had center ice I couldn't watch it because I was in the blackout area which was total ********. I so glad its gone.

a lot of bars use direct TV. Direct TV carries MSG+2 so it wouldn't be to big of a deal. As I said there is always an online stream of the game so that will be an option too.

My girlfriend has Comcast and lives 1.5 miles west of you. I'm assuming it's the same Comcast provider and I've never failed to see a Devils game at her place. Granted she has SD, which absolutely sucks, but that's a different matter altogether. Point is, you should have the game. The MSG's are channel 32 and 33 by her I believe, and sometimes with the overflow it's put on TV Guide station if Rags, Isles and Devils are all on at once.

I am too old for the college ID thing but I have an offer for $65 for $30 from the devils group sales department. I called them today and they passed me the direct link. I just need to find someone to go with. I have been to a lot of games this year already but can't find anyone to go to this one.
But I want to see it even if I can't.

Richer 44 02-23-2009, 02:53 PM Worst case it looks like they are replaying the game at 12:30 am on MGS Plus so I will DVR that and watch it on Friday but I hate doing that...I did it with the islanders game and I didn't look at any scores or anything so it was like it was a live game.....what a let down lol

I think this has only happened once or twice when I've been out there, but I know I've watched it on that "TV Guide" station (i.e. the station that no one ever uses and should go the way of the dodo bird since the "guide feature" on everyone's box is 160x more efficient).

Maybe it just get overposed the day of the game. I will have to see but maybe I will just head to the game alone, ill have to see.

ILikeItVeryMuch 02-23-2009, 03:41 PM The schedule for these games are decided months in advance, we have to share TV time with the Islanders, them's the breaks. Despite the Islanders season usually ending in December each season, its in the contract.
More often than not the Devils get MSG+ while the Islanders get bumped, it looks like the schedule is now making up for it.

Awesome. That is what I was looking for! Thanks. If I can't get the overflow and don't make it to the game I will give this a shot. I have a PC connected to my 46" HD LCD so if the quality is good it won't be a big deal at all.

You are right and People don't realize this...the Rangers have been on MSG+ 2 a few times this season just like the Devils. It has nothing to do with "disrespect to the team" or any nonsense like that...If they're upset it's not on MSG + (how about going to the game?)

Hey, I live in Flemington, right down the road. I also have Comcast and MSG +2 is on channel 21. It is usually TV Guide but when the Devils games are on that channel the tv guide stops and the game goes on.
Devils Mike 02-23-2009, 04:55 PM I had Dish and it sucked when I couldn't get MSG 2. Direct TV is a lot better though, and I got MSG 2 too. It just sucks watching all the games in HD then you have to revert your eyes to crappy SD, which makes me wonder why they can't have HD for MSG 2?

The absolute worst is when IO plays their "Every local team game in HD" commercial (lie) while I am stuck watching this horrible looking SD feed. How they dare play that blatant lie of a commercial as it is being proven wrong is beyond me :shakehead.
Also, is it me or does the overflow feed look even worse than a typical SD feed?

Devils86 02-26-2009, 09:54 AM Comcast Union,,,which is the worst and has almost no HD but until FIOS has MSG HD I have to keep..The first overflow channel is TV Guide 18...the game is never listed in the guide. The problem comes when there is double overflow..the "4th" game is not carried by Comcast Union..Has happened twice this year with one Devils and one Islander game not being on..Since the Knicks do not play tonight there should be no issue...and the Game IS carried in HD, Comcast Union which sucks for HD,just doesnt clear it to an HD channel...
