Hey Ducks fans, a few of my friends and I are taking a roadtrip down to your fine city to see the Canucks game on March 11. I was a late addition to the roster though and they already have their tickets (middle bowl somewhere)...they said that it won't matter where my ticket is as their just going to sneak into the lower bowl anyway. What I'm wondering is if this is possible - to find 5 open seats in the lower bowl in a row, and if not, if we'll be able to find 5 in a row in the middle bowl? Do they check tickets when you try to move around?

We just all want to sit together, and so long as its decent seats I'm not to worried.

You can, a lot of those seats are corporate seats and empty fairly often. Go during intermission to blend in with the crowd and sneak past the ushers.

Lower Bowl
They checked tickets before the 1st period while you sit in the seat (after warmups).
Against the Kings, before the 2nd they checked some others - mostly non-regulars.
5 together in the lower three sections off center won't last past the 1st period.

Middle Bowl
Not sure what you mean about middle bowl. Assuming you mean 2nd level, that is the Club Level. You will need a ticket to enter this level. Generally, there are blocks of five available throughout the game. Moving around isn't too difficult so long as you hold a ticket to the Club Level.
