FSN, 830AM
Welcome back Steve Rucchin to Anaheim as he will honor Teemu Selanne in a pre-game ceremony for the most games played as a Duck. Steve will sign tonight between one of the periods for fans.
Ducks need points and RC finally gets it. Recently quoted saying “Points are precious,”. Duh RC.
Go Ducks !
Degenerate191 02-11-2009, 04:43 PM Not only do we need the points, but my brother is a flames fan, and I would love to at least be able to rub the season series win in his face.
kducks 02-11-2009, 06:27 PM Nice GDT...I'll be there in person tonight to cheer the boys on. Have fun on the boards tonight...Go Ducks!
Dirk316 02-11-2009, 07:31 PM TMI on the Game thread
Static 02-11-2009, 10:09 PM Nice to see Rucchin back...
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 10:09 PM Of course they show Rooch's goal against Detroit in 03. The crowd shouts "Rooooch."
He's 37 and balding. Yet he still has more hair than Getz.
Static 02-11-2009, 10:12 PM Morrison playing after his wonderful performance in Calgary...amazing.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 10:15 PM **** Bertuzzi.
Back to giving up the first goal.
Ducksforcup 02-11-2009, 10:15 PM Wow, that was terrible luck and it just had to be Bertuzzi.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 10:20 PM Roy has the balance of Parros. George didn't get revenge.
Linesman jumps in to break it up after the first fall. Then they pop back up and the linesman says "whoa, get the hell out of here!"
hockeydemon05 02-11-2009, 10:20 PM **** Todd Bertuzzi, that lazy ass didn't do **** with the Ducks.
kenabnrmal 02-11-2009, 10:22 PM I don't mind how they're skating at all right now. If they keep it up, the outcome should be good.
Static 02-11-2009, 10:23 PM Sloppy start. Sometimes I wonder if this team should continue to play the body over the puck at times...they are consistently beaten to the puck on dump ends and then dont have the personnel on defense to make good outlet plays.
thrillhous 02-11-2009, 10:25 PM Bertuzzied
Ducksforcup 02-11-2009, 10:27 PM Great chance by Pronger there...good save.
kenabnrmal 02-11-2009, 10:28 PM Great jump by the second line.
Static 02-11-2009, 10:28 PM That was a great couple of rushes, everyone was skating hard.
Paul4587 02-11-2009, 10:28 PM We're outshooting them 7-2 yet down by a goal, hopefully we keep up this kind of effort and tie it.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 10:30 PM Phaneuf nails Getzlaf with a shot.
Getz is having problems getting up. Ruh roh.
Static 02-11-2009, 10:30 PM And the hits keep on coming.
Degenerate191 02-11-2009, 10:32 PM great, no getzlaf, low chance of a win.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 10:33 PM Great. The player we (essentially) traded Sutherby for is a goalie-elbower. As in he makes Moss elbow Giguere in the head.
Papaspud 02-11-2009, 10:33 PM That should just about salt this one away.
I hope to see Getz back out there tonight ...but somehow doubt it. Shot looked bad.
kenabnrmal 02-11-2009, 10:33 PM great, no getzlaf, low chance of a win.
He's back.
Degenerate191 02-11-2009, 10:34 PM And he's back, thank god.
mcphllp 02-11-2009, 10:34 PM Hes back? Hows he look?
Degenerate191 02-11-2009, 10:40 PM He skated hard when he was out, but had a discomfort look on his face. Tough to tell if it was because of his knee or because he generally looks like he's in slight pain.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 10:43 PM Oh man. Textbook pokecheck by Kipper on Perry. Perry was trying to do a move too, Kipper stopped it cold.
Getzlaf looks like he's still in pain. He seems OK when he has to be, but when he doesn't have the puck he's kind of hurting.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 10:46 PM Good energy by the Ducks, good forecheck. They only gave up a couple of good chances to the Flames, but Calgary scored on one. Those chances were pretty sloppy though.
As long as they don't get discouraged and keep it up, I like their chances.
kenabnrmal 02-11-2009, 10:49 PM Woo!
"Typical Canadian: Honest, good guy"
hockeydemon05 02-11-2009, 10:50 PM Woo!
"Typical Canadian: Honest, good guy"
That was fast haha
Static 02-11-2009, 10:52 PM Woo!
"Typical Canadian: Honest, good guy"
He also said Ruccin had no weaknesses as a player. Hmm....
kenabnrmal 02-11-2009, 10:54 PM That was fast haha
Honest, good guys, fast...all three.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-11-2009, 11:00 PM Weird hearing Chris Madsen calling the plays again.
I lost a puck, but I gained a faceoff.
edit - I dunno. Rooch actually seems a bit grouchy to me.
kenabnrmal 02-11-2009, 11:02 PM Weird hearing Chris Madsen calling the plays again.
I lost a puck, but I gained a faceoff.
edit - I dunno. Rooch actually seems a bit grouchy to me.
No, he's just smart.
edit: Actually, no. I think he's a bit down that he's no longer on the ice.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-11-2009, 11:05 PM No, he's just smart.
edit: Actually, no. I think he's a bit down that he's no longer on the ice.
Yeah, he's feeling it. I also think you're right, he's not too big on humoring Ahlers' retarded banter.
Ha. Also now a proud American. Go Steve!
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 11:08 PM Rooch: Shut up John, and call the game.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-11-2009, 11:09 PM Kiprusoff is really good at booting those rebounds beyond traffic. Attack in waves maybe?
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-11-2009, 11:14 PM Love to see Bobby finishing his checks.
Ducksforcup 02-11-2009, 11:14 PM Kipper is having a whale of a game...but I like the way we are playing though.
kenabnrmal 02-11-2009, 11:16 PM Toe-drag twins in full effect.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 11:16 PM That series of rushes was pure craziness.
Calgary is constantly grabbing the Ducks' sticks. But the refs have decided to play no whistle. Hey, as long as they stay that way for both teams I'm not going to complain. I hate PP fests.
hockeydemon05 02-11-2009, 11:17 PM Kipper is having a whale of a game...but I like the way we are playing though.
Bring back the Whalers...
That's what I thought when I read your post.
Ducksforcup 02-11-2009, 11:17 PM Bring back the Whalers...
That's what I thought when I read your post.
Ha, nice.
Ducksforcup 02-11-2009, 11:18 PM Duckie PP coming up...Dion hooked someone so he couldn't get that rebound.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-11-2009, 11:19 PM Kipper is having a whale of a game...but I like the way we are playing though.
According to Hayward, whales are the most athletically gifted animals.
Static 02-11-2009, 11:20 PM Pronger is having a rough night, third time he has made a soft play on a winger and let him get by.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 11:21 PM QP draws a penalty. Go Q.
Ducksforcup 02-11-2009, 11:21 PM WOOHOO! Garbage PP goal by S. Nieds! :yo:
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-11-2009, 11:21 PM Sweet. Saviormayer.
Selanne really seems to come alive on the power play.
hockeydemon05 02-11-2009, 11:21 PM Gah, we gotta keep Pronger and Niedermayer next year. They're turning the jets back on.
Static 02-11-2009, 11:21 PM Bobby made that play, but great recognition by Nieds to make the initial pass creating the two on one down low.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 11:22 PM Kiprusoff is really good at booting those rebounds beyond traffic. Attack in waves maybe?
There you go. Nieds as the 2nd wave puts it in.
Ducksforcup 02-11-2009, 11:23 PM Top line dead tired and it causes them to take a penalty.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-11-2009, 11:24 PM Phaneuf just looks like a bridge troll.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 11:25 PM "Diving effort by Bertuzzi"
How come he never did that last year.
Phanuf's Phorehead. That or Dion PhaBrow.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-11-2009, 11:25 PM You know, Bertuzzi could die, and I'd be totally okay with that. I would make an exaggerated frown, and slightly nod my head like DeNiro.
Ducksforcup 02-11-2009, 11:26 PM What a defensive play by Niedermayer. He really turns up his game in the second half.
Ducksforcup 02-11-2009, 11:26 PM Wow, Ducks REALLY lucky there.
And just as I say that, Glencross, another former Duck scores.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-11-2009, 11:27 PM That one hurts.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-11-2009, 11:27 PM What a defensive play by Niedermayer. He really turns up his game in the second half.
Final third you mean.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 11:28 PM Wow, Ducks REALLY lucky there.
And just as I say that, Glencross, another former Duck scores.
Not anymore.
Glencross. Why exactly did Edmonton fail to re-sign the one and only effective bottom 6er they've had in awhile?
hockeydemon05 02-11-2009, 11:28 PM **** Glencross, he didn't do **** for the Ducks. :sarcasm:
Former Ducks scoring against us :(
Ducksforcup 02-11-2009, 11:29 PM That one hurts.
It really does hurt. Ducks finally tied it up with all kinds of hard work and they regain the lead 3 minutes later.
Static 02-11-2009, 11:30 PM Id like to see some stats on how many goals are scored against the Ducks within three minutes of an Anaheim goal...I think it would be pretty depressing.
Ducksforcup 02-11-2009, 11:32 PM Id like to see some stats on how many goals are scored against the Ducks within three minutes of an Anaheim goal...I think it would be pretty depressing.
I'd honestly rather not know.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 11:33 PM **** Glencross, he didn't do **** for the Ducks. :sarcasm:
Former Ducks scoring against us :(
Well the good news is there isn't anyone else on the Flames that was on our team (I think).
The bad news is Bert or Glencross could always score another.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 11:35 PM Id like to see some stats on how many goals are scored against the Ducks within three minutes of an Anaheim goal...I think it would be pretty depressing.
That's more work than even I want to put in.
Ducksforcup 02-11-2009, 11:35 PM I forgot how ineffective Bertuzzi was.
kenabnrmal 02-11-2009, 11:36 PM I forgot how ineffective Bertuzzi was.
He's horrible.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-11-2009, 11:36 PM Stupid shot by Montador. No traffic.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 11:37 PM Oh man. The puck was bouncing on top of the net.
Ducksforcup 02-11-2009, 11:37 PM WOW! That should be a five minute major and suspension.
BS!
Static 02-11-2009, 11:38 PM Wow, huge shot to the head there. Glad to see Ebbett is ok.
kenabnrmal 02-11-2009, 11:38 PM holy Pronger physics.
hockeydemon05 02-11-2009, 11:39 PM Phaneuf...leads with the elbow, lucky that Ebbet hit the shoulder.
Phaneuf was going for the elbow to the head. Getzlaf is gonna go after him.
Even though he shouldn't.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 11:39 PM Phaneuf tries to elbow, but pulls it back just before contact.
It's high, but I'm not sure it's really penalty-worthy like the announcers think it is.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-11-2009, 11:40 PM Referee shenanigans -Shocking turn of events? I think not.
Ducksforcup 02-11-2009, 11:40 PM Phaneuf tries to elbow, but pulls it back before contact.
It's high, but I'm not sure it's really penalty-worthy like the announcers think it is.
Yeah, looking at it again maybe it was a fair hit.
Still vicious though.
Static 02-11-2009, 11:40 PM Its in the gray zone...not quite an elbow but he extended his arm and hit him right in the head. If Pronger did this people would be up in arms.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 11:41 PM Yeah, looking at it again maybe it was a fair hit.
Still vicious though.
In real time I was ready to excoriate Phaneuf. After replay, he really seemed to get the elbow back in time.
Ducksforcup 02-11-2009, 11:42 PM The Ducks are playing well...they just need to keep on pushing.
I feel confident, which is more than I can usually say.
kenabnrmal 02-11-2009, 11:43 PM In real time I was ready to excoriate Phaneuf. After replay, he really seemed to get the elbow back in time.
At real speed, there's no "getting the elbow back". He didn't extend the elbow, that's all he has going for him.
I'd be fine with no penalty or suspension if that was the precedent. It isn't.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-11-2009, 11:46 PM I was ready to excoriate and pillory. I may still pillory.
Also, "Bertuzzi died?" http://blogs.suntimes.com/scanners/dnface.jpg
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 11:48 PM At real speed, there's no "getting the elbow back". He didn't extend the elbow, that's all he has going for him.
I'd be fine with no penalty or suspension if that was the precedent. It isn't.
Well elbow or no elbow, it was high (and he was semi-jumping). NHL supposedly has a focus on hits to the head. We shall see. I'm not expecting anything.
Ducksforcup 02-11-2009, 11:48 PM I was ready to excoriate and pillory. I may still pillory.
Also, "Bertuzzi died?" http://blogs.suntimes.com/scanners/dnface.jpg
He is playing just as I remember he played.
Soft, uninterested, and lazy. The goal took skill yes, but besides that...same old, same old.
snarktacular 02-11-2009, 11:52 PM I was ready to excoriate and pillory. I may still pillory.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/66/RenfairePillory.jpg
Kinky. What would your fiance think about your Phaneuf/bridge troll fetish?
Paul4587 02-11-2009, 11:56 PM I didn't think it was too bad a hit. Sucks that we got the penalty out of it though.
Paul4587 02-12-2009, 12:00 AM Awesome shift!! Morrison scores, Getzlaf and Kunitz were money on that shift.
Ducksforcup 02-12-2009, 12:00 AM Holy cow Morrison scored.
And it was all started by Kunitz hitting.
snarktacular 02-12-2009, 12:00 AM Our "upgraded Bertuzzi" scores. Suck it Sucktuzzi.
kenabnrmal 02-12-2009, 12:00 AM Holy ****, Breaking News!
hockeydemon05 02-12-2009, 12:00 AM Getzlaf!!!! Nice play there (good job Morrison).
Static 02-12-2009, 12:03 AM Morrison?? I knew he should have played tonight all along!
Ducksforcup 02-12-2009, 12:03 AM Ebbett is having a tough game.
Paul4587 02-12-2009, 12:04 AM PK too many men.
Ducksforcup 02-12-2009, 12:04 AM Sloppy line change leads to a bench penalty...here we go again.
Paul4587 02-12-2009, 12:06 AM Wow Jarome Iginla is amazing, what a play to stop Niedermayer.
hockeydemon05 02-12-2009, 12:06 AM Iginla, nice play.
Ducksforcup 02-12-2009, 12:06 AM Great play by Iggy there...I gotta give credit where credit is due.
Ducksforcup 02-12-2009, 12:07 AM Bertuzzi can honestly suck it.
What a dumb player.
Paul4587 02-12-2009, 12:07 AM Lol Bertuzzi takes a penalty.
snarktacular 02-12-2009, 12:08 AM That's the Bertuzzi I know and love. Boards Montador. I'm not sure what he was thinking there. But then again, I don't think he thinks, period.
Paul4587 02-12-2009, 12:08 AM That looked vicious, hope Montador is ok.
hockeydemon05 02-12-2009, 12:08 AM Weak call on Bertuzzi right there, he barely shoved Montador. It was just an awkward hit.
Well maybe that's just the way I saw it. You guys saw it differently, maybe i'm wrong haha
Paul4587 02-12-2009, 12:10 AM PP looks real good.
Ducksforcup 02-12-2009, 12:10 AM Getzlaf amazes me every single game I see him.
Paul4587 02-12-2009, 12:12 AM PP again.
snarktacular 02-12-2009, 12:12 AM I just wanted to say that I like watching Flames games.
Static 02-12-2009, 12:12 AM They need to score here...cant waste these opportunities.
byungshin34 02-12-2009, 12:13 AM Getzlaf amazes me every single game I see him.
In a good way?
Ducksforcup 02-12-2009, 12:14 AM In a good way?
Yes, just his skill with the puck and strength.
Duckstudd269 02-12-2009, 12:15 AM Ebbett is having a bad game.
**** RC for playing Selanne instead of Ryan...**** him.
Paul4587 02-12-2009, 12:15 AM Horrible PP.
Ducksforcup 02-12-2009, 12:16 AM Ebbett is having a bad game.
**** RC for playing Selanne instead of Ryan...**** him.
Yeah, next game I would sit Ebbett for Carter.
snarktacular 02-12-2009, 12:17 AM Horrible PP.
Such a polar opposite to the previous PP.
Duckstudd269 02-12-2009, 12:19 AM RC is ****ing our powerplay up big time. Why take Ryan off of it? Oh yeah, because he hates rookies... I mean Selanne even said it himself on intermission that he's not himself. Pathetic.
Off topic: That chick on the Carl's JR commercial is really hot.
kenabnrmal 02-12-2009, 12:20 AM Ebbett is having a bad game.
**** RC for playing Selanne instead of Ryan...**** him.
Selanne's been very good on the pp tonight, Ryan's had more time at even strength.
Paul4587 02-12-2009, 12:21 AM Another PP, I wonder what PP we will see.
Ducksforcup 02-12-2009, 12:22 AM We need to capitalize on these PP's...another one coming up.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-12-2009, 12:22 AM lol
I was in the shower for the start of the 3rd, saw we had tied it up, and immediately was disappointed that it was Morrison and not somebody useful.
Duckstudd269 02-12-2009, 12:22 AM Selanne's been very good on the pp tonight, Ryan's had more time at even strength.
Why because he's made fancy passes? Ryan gets player of awarded for his play by the league, and gets punished by RC.
Selanne looks horrible IMO.
Ducksforcup 02-12-2009, 12:25 AM That was a very good PP...Kipper is just playing amazing tonight.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-12-2009, 12:25 AM Hmm. Not a fan of Brookbank.
Paul4587 02-12-2009, 12:25 AM Kiprusoff is playing amazing.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-12-2009, 12:26 AM Why because he's made fancy passes? Ryan gets player of awarded for his play by the league, and gets punished by RC.
Selanne looks horrible IMO.
Let it go. Except for one, the power play has been great tonight.
snarktacular 02-12-2009, 12:26 AM RC is ****ing our powerplay up big time. Why take Ryan off of it? Oh yeah, because he hates rookies... I mean Selanne even said it himself on intermission that he's not himself. Pathetic.
Off topic: That chick on the Carl's JR commercial is really hot.
I think Selanne's looked pretty good on the PP. Just useless everywhere else.
And she's hot, but not as hot as a bridge troll in a pillory.
Static 02-12-2009, 12:26 AM Hmm. Not a fan of Brookbank.
Yeah, completely retarded delay that caused the offside.
kenabnrmal 02-12-2009, 12:27 AM Why because he's made fancy passes? Ryan gets player of awarded for his play by the league, and gets punished by RC.
Selanne looks horrible IMO.
"Fancy passes". How am I supposed to respond to that.
No, because he's looked strong on the power play. Made good, smart plays. On the Niedermayer goal, he really orchestrated that four or five passes before the puck ended up in the net. He's power play gold. You don't expect a coach to lean on that?
Ryan's not getting punished. He's skating a more-than-regular shift and getting pp time.
Selanne doesn't look great, but he's not going to get back into form on the bench.
Ducksforcup 02-12-2009, 12:28 AM Are you serious?
That is...a penalty?
Stupid thing by Hedican to do, but still.
Paul4587 02-12-2009, 12:28 AM That is a bad penalty
Duckstudd269 02-12-2009, 12:28 AM Talk about the worse thing that could possibly happen. **** you hedican.
snarktacular 02-12-2009, 12:28 AM Bertuzzi better not have just drawn the penalty that wins the game.
Static 02-12-2009, 12:29 AM Who doesnt see a Flames goal coming here? Its the season trend all the way.
kenabnrmal 02-12-2009, 12:30 AM **** you hedican.
Roid-raging tonight, by chance?
Duckstudd269 02-12-2009, 12:30 AM "Fancy passes".
I just disagree. That last powerplay was evident IMO. He turned the puck over 4 or 5 times. Niedermayer and Pronger just bailed him out.
kenabnrmal 02-12-2009, 12:32 AM I just disagree. That last powerplay was evident IMO. He turned the puck over 4 or 5 times. Niedermayer and Pronger just bailed him out.
I was typing my post watching him turn the puck over cringing, because I knew this was going to come up.
Yeah, that was a bad one, but he's been great on the pp otherwise.
Static 02-12-2009, 12:32 AM Man that was scary.
Ducksforcup 02-12-2009, 12:33 AM Man that was scary.
I know I was so nervous.
And jesus I hope those are coincidental penalties.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-12-2009, 12:34 AM I think Selanne's looked pretty good on the PP. Just useless everywhere else.
And she's hot, but not as hot as a bridge troll in a pillory.
Put some 80s shorts on a bridge troll, and it's Jo from the Facts of Life.
Ducksforcup 02-12-2009, 12:34 AM Btw, when is the last time we have went to OT?
Ducksforcup 02-12-2009, 12:35 AM 3 on 3 for a full 2 minutes...wow this should be exciting!
Paul4587 02-12-2009, 12:36 AM 3 on 3
kenabnrmal 02-12-2009, 12:36 AM Ahlers, exactly how the hell is this "oldtime hockey".
I like the guy, but he comes out with some funny stuff.
Paul4587 02-12-2009, 12:37 AM Niedermayer!!! What a play.
Ducksforcup 02-12-2009, 12:37 AM SCOTTY!
WOHOOH! :yo: Tricky little shot there.
hockeydemon05 02-12-2009, 12:37 AM Absolutely disgusting backhand (or maybe deflection) by Niedermayer.
Duckstudd269 02-12-2009, 12:37 AM Roid-raging tonight, by chance?
Stressed is an understatement. I do appologize if I'm coming off as a Dick, cause i'm not trying to be.
However, I stand by my claim that Selanne hasn't been as great as some think on the PP. For example I think it was last game where he made a fancy pass between someone's legs back to the point and we scored. He got a lot of praise for something that he could have just easily passed it with out doing the through the legs move. It was a simple play that he got a lot of credit for. Personally I think Ryan would do a better job then he has recently.
**** IT WHO CARES?!? WE JUST WON!
WOOOOO YAY 4 POINTS.
kenabnrmal 02-12-2009, 12:37 AM What a bounce.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-12-2009, 12:38 AM Forget it. Bridge trolls plus awesome Saviormayer shots = jiz.z circus.
snarktacular 02-12-2009, 12:38 AM Scotty "2 g" Niedermayer.
"2 g" Niedermayer > 3g IPhone
Beauty from Nieds. Great game from him all-around!
hockeydemon05 02-12-2009, 12:39 AM I'd love to see the Ducks play the Flames again this year. Amazing games.
Static 02-12-2009, 12:39 AM Giguere was good again today. Hey the number one to the Flames goalie, nice.
Paul4587 02-12-2009, 12:39 AM I wonder how often teams practice 3 on 3.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-12-2009, 12:40 AM Lotsa room to skayit, good give and go with me dere.
Captain Canada.
Duckstudd269 02-12-2009, 12:41 AM What a game! Credit has gotta go to Kipper too. He was money for the Flames tonight. Great ending for really ****** day for me.
Spankatola Jamnuts 02-12-2009, 12:41 AM Btw, when is the last time we have went to OT?
Looks like a SO loss to Philly on 1/2.
Ducksforcup 02-12-2009, 12:41 AM I have to give mad props...we actually gave Kipper the #1 star even though we won. That almost never happens.
GREAT GAME. So happy... :)

Exciting like the Young Stars game? :sarcasm:

Little bit of "street cred" for the three star picker outers. Well deserved for Kipper.
Duckstudd269 02-12-2009, 12:43 AM Another off topic question: Anyone have center ice and wonder why we can't watch more then 10 seconds after the game ends? Not to mention this ****** ass elavator music. I'm trying to type and all I can hear is this annoying music in my head.
Again, sorry if I was coming off as an ass, just stressed to no end right now. I still stand by my statement that Ryan should be on the top unit right now instead of Selanne though.

I'm pretty sure the "NHL's rights" to the footage expires very shortly after the game, and so they have to cease the broadcast on their Center Ice package. Its a shame, since post-game wrap ups provide nice closure.

Might I suggest some hot trolly-style to soothe your savage breast?

Sometimes they allow it...you can see such instances on the channel menu, it will say "post game show" directly after the game. Not that often though, and usually for the Canadian teams.

Yeah, seems like when I watch the St.Louis games, the allow it pretty often.

maybe I'll just have a go with Rosie...

Giggy needs more beard these days. How are going to score on a guy when he's sporting such a masterpiece?
Dirk316 02-12-2009, 01:29 AM I like the energy Mike Brown is giving this team. Finally an agitating spark plug player.
I like how the trolling Vancouver fans stopped coming around
Mooseduck 02-12-2009, 01:31 AM Giggy needs more beard these days. How are going to score on a guy when he's sporting such a masterpiece?
haha, he has half of the hair left.
Good night at the Honda tonight.
Great to see Ruch, one of the greatest Ducks in my book.
Healthy effort by the Ducks. Calgary should learn not to mess with Scott, Karma is a *****.
We got points, but gave them one. Someone mentioned that part of the team is battling the flu, including Selanne.
Keep playing hard Ducks!! :handclap:

I swear, every time I see that picture I cannot think anything but old Victorian era monarchs. Don't ask me whyhttp://www.vintagepostcards.org/auctions/united-kingdom-royalty-king-george-great-britain-england-rppc.jpg

Aside from all that, it was an exciting game. I suggest we play Calgary more frequent, games against them always seem to be fun.
Happy that Jiggy played well again, and Scotty as well. Brown did fairly well again in fairness. All in all I'm happy.
ktulu98 02-12-2009, 02:01 PM how was mike brown?
Lyons71 02-12-2009, 02:06 PM Ducks played well and forced the flow of the game. Now it's time to go lose an easy one! :D
Nikko 02-12-2009, 05:03 PM Of course they show Rooch's goal against Detroit in 03. The crowd shouts "Rooooch."
He's 37 and balding. Yet he still has more hair than Getz.
Rooch's bald spot is on the tip top crown of his head. Getz's starts just north of his eyebrows and extends just South of his earlobes.
ps I know I'm a day late to the thread but I always have to post comment on our molting future captain.
Sojourn 02-12-2009, 06:42 PM I wonder how often teams practice 3 on 3.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out that they don't.
They do, however, have a fun drill where they set up the goals in one of the zones near the half-wall, and play a game of 3-on-3 with a very small ice area. It's a lot of fun, and really fast.
