Ducks need points.
Let's hope the boys have their legs back tonight.

- JSG should get start.

Inspirational words from our leader about last night's loss to the Wild:
"It's only going to get tighter, and these two points were too important for us to pass up," coach Randy Carlyle said. "It's just disturbing from the standpoint of how little we were into the game."

Way to rally the troops RC :)

Go Ducks!

Apparently it may be neccessary for Perry to bump into Rinne tonight.

Parros and Niedermayer the scratches, Carlyle must be trying to send a message.

Yah, sign a guy to a ridiculous three year contract then bench him a week later. The message is that the Ducks management suck. This organization seems lost.

I feel bad for Pronger. Every time his defensive partner (whoever that may be) sees even a hint of forecheck, they dump the puck to him regardless of the position he's in.

Paul4587
02-05-2009, 08:31 PM
Brown looks pretty sloppy out there, poor balance and bad puck skills.

Paul4587
02-05-2009, 08:41 PM
Jiggy looked alot better tonight, the fourth line was very good although I don't think Brown looked very sharp, I was far more impressed with Carter and Miller.

It sucks that we played that period pretty well and still give up the first goal.

Getzlaf still looks lost out there.

Isn't this what Brown/Brookbank should be doing since Parros is scratched?

Is Parros taking notes from the PB? That and the time a couple games ago where he let Perry get smoked?

Will Carlyle be more or less endeared to Carter because of this?

Paul4587
02-05-2009, 09:18 PM

It's a pretty unique system where the defense stand in front of the net and hope the puck doesn't go in.

Why are the Ducks 5-6 games ahead of the other teams in the West :S?

Good ****ing question. Not making any excuses for this team. They ****ing suck, Carlyle should have been fired a month ago, and our defense sucks balls. Our GM has been a complete but since he got the job. Did a whole bunch of minor deals to basically switch McIver for Brookbank. Got rid of Sutherby, a guy who played with heart, for nothing. Anyway, it seems like every couple of games is always a back to back. Does each team have to play a certain amount of back to back games? It'd be interesting to see how many the Ducks have played compared to others.

The playoffs are not over, but hope is almost completely gone after this loss. We lost to two teams under us, and we've played 5 games more then most teams below us. It's not over, but it's almost over.

Just thought I'd post this on this thread since I don't know where else to post it. Seems like Carlyle was happy with the way Jiggy played. Sounds like he's going to play next game. Check the blog on the ducks website for the link. It has RC's comments on there.

I didn't think Giguere played too bad. He was left out to dry on a couple of the goals, and one was kinda questionable. I didn't see him as any better or worse than Hiller really. I'm actually a bit worried though, I know Jiggy is a better goalie than that. His head's just not this year, and it shows.
