Brendan Morrison offside thread

Is it just me or does this guy go offside or draw his teammates offside 3x as much as anyone else in the league? This is what drives me crazy more so than anything else with him.

Maybe so. But I think the second line's timing is off in the last couple of games more because Teemu's coming back after missing 17 games.

Perry draws more offisides calls than Morrison. Teemu is up there too.

Yes it was, I don't think I have ever cheered when the stratches were announced for the game before. :handclap:

Aside from last night's scratch Morrison is still getting 2nd line minutes... and because those should belong to Carter, Carter's development is being smothered with a pillow.

I think that I understand why. Carter shows flashes of brilliance, but I believe he suffers from immaturity still.

I think Getzlaf, Perry, and possibly Kunitz get some sort of special treatment from Carlyle when it comes to practices and I've heard Randy comment on Carter's lazy attitude during practice.

There is also the occasional irresponsible play. A few games ago he went fro a big hit on the PK and left his Dman open in the slot. I think it gave the other team the lead or 2 goal lead.

Does anyone know is he gonna be healthy scratch today or is he going back cruising in that second line? Kinda weird though, i haven't really noticed him taking offside that often (Kunitz and Perry seem to be specialist what comes to taking offsides IMO)

He doesn't really do it more than anyone. He's not usually leading rushes. Or much involved in them.

A very common scene in Vancouver game broadcasts a few years back would be an offside call, a cut to a close-up of Morrison, and then a cut to a close-up of Bertuzzi glaring lasers at him or yelling at him.

I'm hoping to regularly see a cut to a graphic of the healthy scratches before a game, then a cut to Morrison in a pressbox in street clothes.
