ericnut 01-28-2009, 01:36 AM What if the Ducks get on a hot streak and become buyers. Also, there is a good chance Beauchemin will be back for the playoffs. Who do we make a pitch for? I say a legit second line center if Ebbett and Morrison do not work out.
Kunitz - Getlzaf - Perry
Ryan - XX - Selanne
Moen - Pahlsson - R. Niedermayer
Miller - Carter - Marchant
S. Niedermayer - Beauchemin
Pronger - Festerling
Montador - Huskins/Hedican
Giguere
Hiller
Paul4587 01-28-2009, 02:23 AM Beauchemin won't be nearly as affective coming back from a long term injury and likely won't be back until mid may.
The Ducks need someone to help out Pronger and Niedermayer more than they need a second line centre, whoever our second line centre is (I'm hoping either Ebbett or
Carter) should do fine playing between Ryan and Selanne provided they can win faceoffs and don't turn over the puck everytime they get it (unlike Morrison).
On another note Carter doesn't seem to be anywhere near as good at faceoffs since his injury. Last year his faceoff percentage was around 62%, this year it's around 44%.
MEEPSTER4 01-28-2009, 01:25 PM Ebbett and Ryan have had great chemistry (probably due to their time together in Iowa) and I'd like to see Teemu on that line too. I think that gives us a solid enough top 6 for a playoff run. Defensively, assuming we don't make any deadline deals and Beauch isn't back:
Scotty, Pronger, Festerling, Montador, Headican and either Huskins or McIver.
ericnut 01-28-2009, 03:27 PM I really like the idea of having Carter, Marchant, and Miller on the fourth line come playoff time. (Assuming we make it).
edit: Although I would prefer Carter on the second line with Selanne and Ryan.
Mooseduck 01-28-2009, 03:28 PM Someone guaranteed we would get Sundin. That should be suitable.
Dirk316 01-28-2009, 05:20 PM nice softest 4th line in the league
thats really "Ducks Hockey" right there
Randall Graves* 01-28-2009, 06:25 PM We need a top 4 defensemen, I can live with Morrison/Ebbett with guys like Selanne and Ryan on the wings.
Buck Naked 01-28-2009, 06:33 PM As Dirk mentioned in another thread, Barret Jackman please.

Still shocked.

Come playoff time I'm not looking for an enforcer to take a sstupid penalty.
Mooseduck 01-28-2009, 06:58 PM Still shocked.
We're not.
ericnut 01-28-2009, 07:13 PM We're not.
Are you the same mooseduck on the Ducks message boards?

Instead we'll have a line that does absolutely nothing that will really soften up opposing teams im sure that was the exact way we won a cup and made it to the conference finals
Lets try to play Detroit hockey with less skill :sarcasm:
Give it up already with these stupid scenarios
Dirk316 01-28-2009, 07:50 PM Are you the same mooseduck on the Ducks message boards?
Wow havent been to those boards in forever i doubt its the same person

I would consider it a second checking line. It's better then having Parros play with Carter and Ebbett.
Detroit hockey really sucks! I mean look how bad they are.
Who do you expect to see on the fourth line come playoff time? (Assuming we make it).
Chone 01-28-2009, 08:36 PM What if you stopped saying outrageous things? :sarcasm: Lawl Sundin guarantee.
Here's a crazy idea of my own though that I'm always pimping. Play Pahlsson in the top 6! I've always wanted them too, he's good enough. Everybody just likes that he's a perfect checking line center, but he'd be of more value on the third line. Put Morisson on the 2nd line, Ebbet to LW until Teemu gets back.
ericnut 01-28-2009, 08:38 PM What if you stopped saying outrageous things? :sarcasm: Lawl Sundin guarentee.
What if it came true? What if Burke was still GM and the Ducks didn't go on a losing streak? What if Morrison got wavied?

Im sure most people would love to use the 4th line to actually hit some opposing players and play tough hockey you may have heard of that strategy it works in real hockey not video games
Lets copy Detroit hockey and play a skill game and get swept in 4 again :yo:

Well done Dirk! You failed to answer my question. Lets try this again--who would you want the the fourth line come playoff time?
And please refresh my memory as to who was on the fourth line last year.
Paul4587 01-29-2009, 01:55 AM What if the Ducks put together back to back wins for once?
Chone 01-29-2009, 01:59 PM What if it came true? What if Burke was still GM and the Ducks didn't go on a losing streak? What if Morrison got wavied?
it could have happened. never seemed likely or even close to a sure thing. i was joking anyways.
