I don't think there is any reason to not play Hiller anymore. I love JS but honestly. He shouldn't play until we play the islanders next week, because even if he blows, we should still win and could help him start to get out of his funk. Ebbett looks excellent.

2 wins sounds about right.

But I still think it's the right move to play Giguere a little more to try to get him going. Goaltending is very mental/groove based.

But Hiller should play a lot, we can't give up too many points.

Take away message of the game is that if the hockey gods and the refs conspire together, the Ducks can indeed win.

I agree. God knows why Carlyle has given away so many standings points by insisting on playing Giguere.

We need to make the playoffs. That's it. If we're in big danger of missing the playoffs, Giguere shows he can no longer win, or the playoffs start and Hiller is the hot hand... then fine, lets roll with Hiller in 80% of the games or so.

I realize the Ducks are 'on the brink' of falling out of the playoff picture, but heck, its not only Jiggy's fault. He hasn't been perfect, but every player on this team needs to pick their game up.

Jiggy has had cold streaks in the past, but the team still won because most of the team was playing really well. Its hard to just start picking on him because he is struggling at the same time the rest of the team is.

He is still under contract for a while and a lot of money is involved. As an investment perspective, just tossing him in the trash for the sake of a couple good games from Hiller seems to be a bad strategy.

Well, if you're listening to the game on radio and not watching the game, it usually is a pretty good indicator of which players are more involved in the play through the course of the game, but of course it doesn't always mean in a good way.;)
