At the Wild/Ducks game [Archive]

Heading to the XCel center for the Ducks Wild game tonight. Hoping that a few Ducks in the house will turn this ship around.

Six rows from the ice....we'll be the crazy Ducks fans with a sign..:handclap:

A very brief recap of the event. As you're probably aware, Saturday was state hockey day in Minnesota - 22 hours of hockey.. (got a free coffee mug at the game :) )

The Ducks/Wild game was great. The Wild fans were hopping mad about the officials. But the XCel wasn't that loud. It is a very nice stadium with high priced food and beer of course. We had excellent seats. Carter's family was sitting near us (St. Paul native).

There were a smattering of Ducks jerseys throughout the arena. There were even a few young girls with a "Minnesota Girls love the Ducks" sign. (another one said OMG #15).

The Ducks looked tired the first period. But picked up the pace in the 2nd and 3rd. Hiller did a great job and helped out the defensemen. Minnesota did look like they gave up with 5 minutes to play.

So hopefully this will be a turning point for the Ducks.
