Couldn't find that old NHL Network Programming thread so I figured I'd make this one to let you all know that tonight at 8 is the 2003 Stanley Cup video. Guess their making up for that vintage game they aired earlier

The Grinder 01-12-2009, 09:32 PM 2003 is the year of my fondest hockey memories. 95 i was young and didn't get the full impact of winning a cup. 2000 was a special team with an amazing Eastern Conf and Stanley Cup final but 2003 was just perfect. I watched every single playoff game with the same 5 kids. Everyday it was roller hockey then skating home in a rush to catch the game. If they lost we would switch the house where we watched it hoping to give the Devils a boost. When the devils were losing going into a period we would all put on hockey equipment during the game for a little bit more good luck. The best game i have ever seen; of course I'm talking about game 7 in Ottawa. When Freisen scored that goal i swear i jumped 5 feet up in the air only to be knocked down by my buddy's brother. My back slammed against the floor, the wind knocked out of me, i couldn't breath and i didn't care. what an amazing game. To proudly wear my Madden jersey the next day in school talking shiite to all the rangers fans who swore we couldn't win in Ottawa, oh man i don't think anything can top that run. And the Stanley Cup video i borrowed from some kid while i was still in high school. Needless to say I forgot to give it back to him, i watch it every spring to get me ready for the playoffs sad thing is its always better than our actual recent play off runs. cj225 01-12-2009, 10:07 PM It must of been really bad if it kept u from that game. I stayed until 5 minutes left in the 3rd period and then the pain started to really take over! One7nine 01-12-2009, 11:01 PM What the hell ever happened to Jeff Friesen's numbers? They just fell off the earth after that season if I remember correctly. Cowbell232 01-12-2009, 11:45 PM Talking about Grant Marshall makes me sad because I was in the hospital getting xrays on my arm at that time!! Stupid yellow X-Terra's in the CAA parking lot! Yeah, but your a trooper, eh? :) borrachon 01-13-2009, 08:05 PM Watching the DVD right now....it needs less Whoopi and more Chico.
