Tavares & Subban could be NHL rivals

If you've seen the interviews, celebrations and what not, you know John Tavares and PK Subben are friends.

To summarize the blog (in the link above), let's say the Leafs get the1st overall pick. They likely won't, but humor me. If Tavares winds up as a Leafs, and Subban is already a Montreal Canadien, would that not give hockey's oldest rivalry a swift kick in the pants? I think it would be amazing.

Realistic? That's probably reaching. Possible? Yup.

But alas, Tavares will go to team like Atlanta, NYI, St. Louis or TB.

I'm not sure if PK is NHL Calibre just yet. But yes. to humour you, that would be pretty cool

Wendel played against his cousin ..Iginal plays against several ex Kamloops Blazers , friends play friends all the time ..big deal if Tavares and PK play gainst each other ..who cares .

These to are already rivals in the Ohl Tavares plays for Oshawa and Subban for Belleville who have eliminated us two years in a row in the playoffs.

If I'm a Leafs fan, I'd be concentrating on the Ryan Ellis', Evander Kanes, and Jordan Schroeders of the world.

Tavares vs Subban would be sick for years though.

he is not that good. i am sorry to say. he is too slow and is just alert inside offensive blue. And a diver 30 second in a game. Terrible display.
