The American game was just a preliminary game that was over once Canada started scoring

A game this exciting WITH elimination is ofc way more epic than any other game.

Love beating the Americans every year, but this game was better.

Great win but I thought the play was sloppy and marred by worse goaltending this game than the US game. The US game was also more physical which is always exciting.

Both games were pretty amazing though.

The NYE game was for essentially bragging rights, this was meaningful and we were 5 seconds from elimination. The poise Eberle showed on that goal was sick.

Canada vs US, because Canada at least showed up for most of that game. They were no where near playing up to their potential tonight.

Great game from the Russians, though. They've had it tough from us lately, but they didn't quit. They may have celebrated a minute too soon is all...

No they weren't... they were hyping the game all throughout the 3rd.

The USA game was a better hockey game. The Russia game was more dramatic.

The Canada vs USA game was end to end action the whole game filled with energy and passion from both teams and was a better 60 minutes to watch. I don't think there was a better game that defines the hate the two teams have for each other and was just a war out there.

Tonight vs the Russians in my opinion was not a fun game to watch at all considering Canada's horrible powerplay and Canada just didn't bring their "A" game. If the whole game was played like the last 10 minutes of the third period and that overtime I would have been better.

CAN vs USA was a showdown of two top teams who played great on both ends of the ice. Canada also came back from being down 3-0. On top of that, there was so much taunting from both sides.

CAN vs. RUS was a very tight game because CAN (and especially Tokarski) played terrible the whole game. However, it was more significant because a trip to the gold medal game was at stake.

IMO, if CAN brought the kind of intensity they brought against USA tonight, it wouldn't even have been close. CAN's flaws tonight were what made it epic.

I just returned from the game. I was at both this one and the New Years Eve game against the Americans. I must say that the semi-final game was way more epic than the US match. The crowd was nuts and exploded with excitement each time Canada scored, especially the tying goal as well as shootout goals and saves. This is definitely the highlight of my hockey viewing career.

The Canada/USA game got my vote because it was just an excellent game back and forth. Today's game meant more and had an epic ending; however, the majority of the game was sloppy and lacked real emotion until the 3rd period.

Today's game was was more important, and so with Canada's comeback after being five seconds from elimination it could be described as more "epic".

However, the game with the U.S. was by far the better played game. There was a lot more intensity; a lot more speed; a lot more great plays both offensively and defensively.

For much of tonight's game Canada couldn't get it into the extra gear; and the play was often bland.

Russian game was more epic, imho. Higher stakes will do that.

lol. i chose the u.s. game, cause i thought you were taking about the semi finals where toews scored 3 goals and canada tied it up late in the third. i remember how much i hated that american team, and how good it felt to beat them.

As much as I thought The USA game was so good. Something is always better at some time.

Russia vs Canada game yesterday was the best WJC game I have seen in last 10 years.

...and most disappointing...

both were great games, but Eberle scoring with 5.4 seconds left, was what made it amazing...

Definetly the Russia game. Sloppier game of the two, but much more at stake and just an unbelievable game tying goal.

The entire US v Canada game was more exciting but at the end of the day it wasn't an elimination game. Maybe the best game I've ever seen though, from start to finish.

The finish of the Russia v Canada game was way more exciting and epic though. One of the best finishes I've ever seen. I haven't cheered like that in a long time. I went absolutely mental cheering and had to spend like 10 minutes calming down.

The shootout was kind of anti-climatic.

The Women's final from Salt Lake is one of the best game's ever. This isn't even in the top 500. The Russia game was much better, mostly due to the suspense, but nothing to write home about.

I enjoyed the Russia game a lot more overall. After the first period it was pretty much all Canada in the US game.

A womens game? The girls play no-hit don't they? I've never actually watched a girls Olympic hockey game...so I am just asking, for serious.

It was all about the drama of the game. You had the heroes (obviously I'm Canadian) go down three very quickly, and then you got to watch a player step up and carry them on his back. You had the shenanigans by the bench. You had the wacky international reffing and the US coach going bonkers. You had goals going both ways and an incredible save by Tokarski when there should have been a sure goal.

Bad goaltending and sloppy play is not always the sign of a bad game. It's often the sign of an entertaining game, which is how I, and most people, define best game.
