I couldn't beleive he slipped that far in the draft. I remember when RDS interviewed one of the NJ scout after they drafted Tedenby and the scout looked pissed as hell and he never even praised the pick. I thought he was a moron.

Yeah New Jersey sniped him right before you guys, and you ended up with Niemisz :help:. Him and Backlund would have been incredible in Calgary one day.

(Maybe should have taken Tyler "Theoren" Ennis instead)

Nemisz is putting up over a PPG in the OHL now, while maintaining solid defensive play.

Still would have preferred Ennis, but Nemisz ain't doing too bad

Buffalo completely messed up their first pick, so I'd nearly kill myself if we didn't get Ennis. Oh well, only a couple of our 1st rounders in the last 12 or so years have actually panned out, so 1 out of 2 wouldn't be bad.

Tedenby has amazing speed/agility/acceleration/stick handling....

He just needs to get a little stronger and work hard on his defense game and he will be a good NHL player who will excite fans night in and night out.

oduya wasnt a prospect, he was like 25 when he arrived. I think his talking about bergfors.

How did NJ mess up Bergfors? You earn your way with the Devils' organization. Young players that can produce get to play. Parise and Zajac didn't have problems earning time at a young age. And it has worked out fine.

You mean the 21 year old, who is still developing in the AHL?

It's not like he's an old man, rocking in his chair telling his grand kids about the time he got robbed by NJ...

Anyway, Tedenby is going to be so sick for the Devils. Can't wait!

I've been slightly disappointed in Tedenby's performance so far in this tournament, but that move was just sick. Size will, however, always be an issue with him until he comes to North America and proves otherwise. If nothing else that move showed that the boy really has magic hands ;)

He started slow but the last games he has really grown on me. I think he was next to MSP and Hedman swedens best players yesterday. He was a constant threat and put up a few points aswell.

Tedenby is not going to be stickchecked by NHL D-men.

Lets see him skate like that into the crease against a team like the Calgary,Boston or Chicago.

It wouldn't be pretty.

I'll keep Del Zotto thank you very much..

Did initially want the Rangers to take him though, but another 5'8" winger is not on my list of wants for this team right now.

Elias didn't break into the NHL full time until he was 22. Bergfors still has time.

And I don't think the Devils organization has ever had a player who could stickhandle like Tedenby can.

Why wouldn't he be able to do that? I don't see guys like Datsyuk, Gaborik, Zetterberg etc having problems doing it..

Tedenby has a long way to go for sure...but his talent is God given. He'll be doing those things in the NHL too eventually...

Tedenby is small, but he's fearless. Reminds me a lot of St.Louis and Gionta in that regard. Just look at Sweden's 3-2 goal yesterday. He goes into the corner, crushes a much bigger d-man with a huge hit, gets the puck and goes to the net..and the puck goes eventually in either of his or Ullström's stick. That's why Tedenby will make it at the big stage and will be a standout. He's got it all..besides size.

That's nonsense, you can't hit speed, that's been proven again and again in the NHL. Not to mention Tedenby has proven he has plenty of grit to play with the big boys, all honestly it sounds like wishful thinking to me.

Seriously? If anything the Rangers lack scoring wingers in their system and have Sanguinetti who is essentially the same type of player as Del Zotto.

He is 5'10"

He looks almost exactly the same height as Brian Gionta, maybe a little taller.

I like the kids intensity, he has that work ethic that the Devils covet.

He's tough though...midget tough, kinda like Theo Fleury. He plays in SEL against men, I don't think his size will be that big of a problem.

He's 5.10, but plays like 6.2

DZ has a much better shot at the NHL then Tedenby. He just needs to work on his skating a little bit.
