Oduya and Zajac both have improved immensely this year. who in your opinion has improved more?

Zajac. Oduya was playing very well the second half of last season, Zajac had been relegated to fourth line duty with Brylin and Rupp.

werd, oduya just sucked the first 25 games last year and was very good after. zajac was brutal all year

Oduya is my favorite Devil but he was playing like this during the second half of last yer.

Imagine if we get back Playoff Andy Greene vs Tampa? he was godly then. I think he was on the ice for 1 goal even strength in 11 playoff games.

IŽd say Zajac, too. Oduya has contined pretty much the same pace where he left last season.

Zajac on the other hand has improved in so many ways. No longer that frustrating floating around but effective and smart plays plus some nifty goals scored.

I am starting to believe I am the only one who believes the Devils don't need a true number 1 defensemen.

Another defensmen, sure - But a number 1 is not the be all-end all.

Mainly because of the progress Oduya has made - It is most unfortunate that Greene was injured because in his short time this season he looked to be turning the Corner as well.

We get improvement from Salmela and Greene and get rid of Mottau - that is the making of a solid corp.

It's all about the playoffs my friend. Our D has been solid during the regular season, but they turd it up in the playoffs.

Martin is a #1B. Another #1B would be ideal.

I don't disagree at all....I just get the feeling that since the loss of Niedermayer, Stevens, Daneyko and to a much lessor extent Rafalski - some Devil fans are just itching for a "name" (That really doesn't exist) on the blueline.

Apparently I should have cheated, before voting to see where the votes were going.

I chose Oduya because there was a time last year that Oduya could have easily been a scratch for a game because he was playing so poorly. Never once did I think Zajac had a chance to be scratched even when he was relegated to the fourth line.

Travis. Oduya doesn't look much better than he did at the end of last season, while Travis's play has improved a lot.

Its tough. I picked Jonathan strictly because I think the Devils need that type of player on the blue line rather than what Trav is providing. Its very close either in my opinion.

I think a large deal of our success can be attributed to these two, who grossly underachieved. They both are not only playing where they should be, but they've also exceeded expectations. I really think these two guys, along with Parise and Clemmer/Weekes are who we will live or die by this year.

Zubrus is producing in the points department and becoming the player as advertised. I gotta say that he and Clarkson are the most improved. Zajac and Greene went through the proverbial sophmore slump.

It should be "The only team that shares a cup banner with the Edmonton Oilers."

Has Lundqvist ever been seen in public with a female besides his smokin hot sister? Every time hes in public it has to do with mens fashion. "heyyy"

He was once spotted in NJ at a rest stop outside the Meadowlands. That was when the Devils played at the old building. It was late and I heard something about bears and movies and so I left my stall because I was uncomfortable at the conversation between the two men between me.

I heard they offered the part of Mr. G in Summer Heights High to Henrik, but he politely declined.

Easily Zajac. TZ had a very poor year last year and seems to be doing the little things better this year. I am well aware that some of his "improvement" is due to Parise having a breakout year, but even without ZP piling up points, you can really see an improvement. Most of Oduya's improvement came last year when something (still not sure what) happened at around the 45 or 50 game mark last year and he just seemed to "get it" so to speak. I think he's been better this year, but at least for the short-term, it seems like he's reached an "improvement plateau" and I'm not seeing much difference.

 Gold.

Did you guys know that of all the players with 5 games played or more, Andy Greene is fourth right now for the most points per 60 minutes of play (with 4.80)?

Only Kobasew (5.54) Semin (5.66) and yeah, you guessed it, Jamie McGinn (6.36) are ahead!

I know, he didn't play enough for it to mean anything, but it's still a cool little stat.

JO has continued last seasons second half jump, but Zajac is winning face off, killing penalties and coming out of the corner with the puck with confidence. Hmmm, and he has the same amount of points as that other super prospect from Alaska who is a super star in the making:sarcasm:

BTW, if we had any other serviceable FWD last year, I'm sure Travis would have sat out a few games.
