From what I remember, it was supposed to be a problem for the rest of his career.

Too bad. He was never going to be "the next Scott Stevens," as Lou predicted, but he probably would have made a decent career as a solid 2nd pairing guy.

I still like david hale and part of me wishes he was still here. I wouldn't mind him on the third pairing.

I hate imaginary trades.

He's doing better than Matt DeMarchi, not so well as Paul Martin. That's why the number of draft picks you can accrue matters. Couldn't have separated any one from the other two at the draft 8 (yeah, I know, that amazes me too) years ago.

Maybe just maybe Hale will score a few more but he is playing....so that is better than not playing.

Great for him! And what's funny, I remember him clanking a shot off the post in like one of his first few games. Who thought it would take over 200 games before he got that close again?

And for the record, he had a hell of a chance to make it and I bet he would have been very good without that disease.

I don't think it's really fair to criticize Hale for taking so long to score - he's a defensive defenseman who never really had a big shot. So scoring really isn't in his job description. Still, good for him.

Wouldn't have been suprised if it had came against us with Marty's record with first time scorers.

The Nodak connection has panned out pretty well for the Devs--they're not all going to pay off. But D Hale is a good kid who deserves whatever success he gets.

yeah but at least check the threads on the first page. Its not that hard. 9 times out of 10 its already somewhere else. Some of us prefer organization to a total cluster **** of the same thread everywhere.
