Lou was in attendance in Florida for the Panthers/Canes game...

Take it for what it's worth but I saw Lou at the Panthers game yesterday against the Canes. I don't know if Lou has a tendency to check out other games just for the heck of it but if it was me, i'd rather scout LIVE then in front of my TV screen :sarcasm:

I really can't see anyone from the Canes organisation that would help us out other then maybe Joe Corvo. I know it doesn't sound as sexy as Jay Bouwmeester but Corvo is a ok PP QB that won't have us dishing out our future. And if he is looking at J-Bow, then he better have a offer that doens't include Parise, Zajac or our 1st round pick !!!

I don't know if this thread belongs elsewere but i thought this would bring up a solid topic of conversation ;)

This past weekend was Father's night for Carolina and Coach Sutter was in attendance wearing a Brandon Sutter jersey and was sitting with Lou. It may have been a scouting trip, but it more likely to me looked like a GM on the road with his coach in preparation for the next game.

Ew. WTF. When I met Brent, I asked him where I could get a Dion Red Deer jersey and he asked me why I wanted a Red Deer one. I told him I was a big fan of The Dion, but I'd never wear another NHL team's jersey. I thought he understood where I was coming from, but I guess not. Damn him. Damn him to hell.

I own a black Washington from 1999 (was a huge fan of Witt and Olie the Goalie) and a fairly new Kings jersey.

Yea, but River City doesn't customize. Brent gave me an e-mail address. I'll hopefully have the jersey made in time for The Dion's visit to NJ in March.

I called them to do my 232 Cowbell jersey...maybe you have to call them up to do it?

That's weird that they'll do 3-digit NHL jerseys by request but not a WHL standard jersey...

That Sutter jersey isn't his sons, it's his, Brents the enforcer for their ECHL team, he was called up just in case you see.

They're already there for the Devils/Panthers game tomorrow. It's not unusual for Lou to attend road games.

In fairness to Brent wearing the Sutter #16 jersey, it was the Canes alternate Red and Black scheme that evokes images of the Devils and all the other parents there were supporting their children by wearing the jersey of their kid. Bob Brind'Amour, Floyd Whitney, Ken Ward, etc. Brent would have looked like a giant ****** to have not worn his when several guys like Floyd Whitney, who is a Tampa Bay scout, put aside his team obligations for a night and wore it.

Sutter on wearing the Canes jersey:

Devils coach Brent Sutter has been taking some ribbing from his players about wearing the Carolina Hurricanes jersey while watching his son, Brandon, play for the Hurricanes Monday night against the Florida Panthers. Many of the Hurricanes' players had their fathers there as part of a special trip the team does.

"A couple of guys mentioned a couple of things about it," Sutter said. "They thought that maybe there was some kind of fine or something for coach wearing another team's jersey. I said, 'Well, if it's another problem, they'll have to find another coach."
