I actually find the smaller crowd games to have louder crowds, the people that are there are real die-hards and make a lot of noise instead of sitting back. Senate making it an option for students to not want to pay the 9 bucks or so on their term bill which could cut their funding - seeing that 1/3 of all their budget comes from tuition and whatnot. Yes, that is a good thing. think of all of the concessions that the extra people purchased too, get fans in the building and they will come back. I think the January 8 game vs Atlanta will draw well too with the colleg night promo during winter break, and the $20 promo Turn the Clock Back night being offered that night. Especially on Fridays. On Fridays, there's no justification of "oh no, I have to go to work tomorrow" (for most people) or "think of the children, they have to go to school!" They cost themselves business by starting at 7PM because it's less time for people to blow money on food and drinks when they can't make their seats by the time the game starts.
