Good to see that he's being talked about. This is such a huge season for Marty, I can't wait to see those records fall. Going to bring a tear to my eye.

Love ya Marty, even if you'll never read this.

I love you too Marty, now just pay the damn child support so the kids can eat and I can get my drink on.

Screw the self indulgent, egotistical bastid.

Yeah, he should be gratful 4 that the Devz let him play, though he´s gottn old and becomed yesterdays news in NHl. All the looosin weit and gettin fiter pluz gettin a new mazk won´t cover that fatc!!1

Now that the compulsory trolling is done, let the thread stay on course :sarcasm:

This season will be something special for Marty and his Devils. Who would´ve thought that this guy who was supposed to be a one hit wonder has become the Rolling stones in this league.

If Marty is Mick Jagger, who is Keith Richards?

My question is if breaking this record could get Marty the cover of SI.

My other question was going to be how much horse **** should be shoved down the writer's throat for this bit - "It’s a system built on preventing goals. Most call it boring", but I realized that would be petty and vulgar.

Most do find it boring though... I mean the guy isn't exactly telling lies.

The system wins games and has won cups. Let them hate.

“I never really broke any records at home since I’ve been playing,” said Brodeur, who has two of three children playing the position of goalie in youth hockey. “Every milestone I got, everything was on the road. Maybe it will be nice to do it at home.”

One day another Brodeur will shine at the Rock. But for now lets enjoy this one. Marty your welcome until the day you need to roll onto the ice in a wheel chair.

That´s a tough one. In a way Patty would be the next one in hierarchy, but Madden, like Richrads, has seen the dark side of life, so I´m gonna go with Maddog on this one.

I still can't believe he's gonna break Sawchuck's shut-out record. It just seems so unbelievable.

Nothing would be sweeter than having a ticket from the night Marty broke the record!

That would officially be cooler than having a ticket to Crosby's first game!

Once he ties it I am going to try my best to be at every home game until he breaks it.
Hopefully it doesnt bankrupt me.

Better hope he doesn't break it away from home then. ;)

That record may not fall this year (though I hope it does), but if not this year then definitely next year.

Me too. He better break it at home.

Dano. He's obnoxious, he's always drunk, but he's still contributing. And we love him.
