This is my frist time there and I'll be staying the night, what's the nearest hotel to Prudential center.

Thanks !

Unless you're on a tight schedule and coming in just for the game, stay at a hotel in Manhattan and do some tourist stuff too. It's less than a 20 minute train from New York Penn to The Rock.

I've been to New York city once before but never in Jersey.

In on sunday and out on monday, driving in from Montreal.

My friend that's comming with me in a diehard oilers fan, should be a fun game.

An excellent hotel located a few blocks from The Rock, it features the Gateway Center which is a tunnel like walk-way over downtown Newark which drops you practically footsteps from the arena.

All of the visitors we have had on this forum have had nothing but great things to say about there trip, you should have a great time. Take the time to visit bars like Arena Bar or Scully's before the game, both are located right near the arena.

In that case please dont do what 70% of tourists do, which is to only spend time in Newark and then go back home and claim it represents what "Jersey" is like. :sarcasm:

Better yet there a ton of good hotels in Jersey City, all walking distances to the PATH, minutes from Manhattan and the Rock and much cheaper.

I would go with the Newark Hilton connected to the Gateway. You can walk to the game and have the option of taking a train to NYC after the game. The Hilton has a bar in it too if you want to polish off a few before hitting Scully's or other bars in the area.

Yeah Newport Center Mall isn't too far away from Courtyard, Doubletree, Candlewood, etc.
