Wanted to give the Ducks fans here a heads up about a fundraiser going on with Ducks Fans. In honor of Kevin Lowe and his comments about Anaheim being a "patheic hockey market" the people over on the AllDucks board have started a fundraiser. The money will be donated to the favorite charity of the Duck player who scores the game winning goal in the first game against Edmonton this year. You can send money to the person in charge or there is a link in the thread to go through PayPal. They are trying to raise enough money to get some publicity about this going, it happened a few years ago when they did the same thing with the whole PK situation. I know it is hard times for people right now, but the money is going to go to a good cause. Here is the link to the thread over at AllDucks.com. http://www.allducks.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19612

Any update on totals/charity chosen? There is no up-to-date info on the allducks site.

Thanks, OT, anyone else want to say 'gesundheit' after reading the writer of that articles name?

The site said it was only at $400. I was wondering if that's a showing of the current economic conditions or was the word just not getting around? Not here to stir up trouble, but I heard about this a while ago and kind of expected it to be considerably higher...at least double.

Didnt the Ducks loose Edmonton last night?

According to the article posted in this thread they postponed the fund until the March game to try and beef it up.

I think a little of both. We raised a couple thousand the last fundraiser.
