Except that Rolston is a completely different player than Jason Arnott, who was in my opinion the most important member of the line.

How soo i mean rolston is pretty agrassive also and tremendeas defisively

He lacks the physical presence that Arnott brought. Considering Gio's size in comparison to Sykora, that could be a pretty big factor.

It's great that they had a good game, but I want to see them be consistent over an entire season before we compare them to the A-Line, who led us two two cup finals.

Plus, the A-Line was the most finesse line that will probably ever play here. The "ERG" line has alot of skill but won't rival the A-Line in that regard.

comparing them is just plain dumb. Arnott is bigger and than rolston and sykora and gionta play 2 completely different games


it has the potential to be our best line since the A Line, ill agree with that though

if and i say IF all three players live up to their potential AND stay with the devils, a Tedenby-Cormier-Bergfors line would be very very similar, in principle, to the A-Line.

this Elias-Rolston-Gionta line is just another line where Patty plays with two offensively gifted players. don't get me wrong, it'll be good and Gio's and Patty's numbers will both go up, but it's not like all 3 players will average a point/game.

That's a good point about the three young players. You have that speed on the outside and the size and strength down the middle...very similar indeed.

Cormier does remind me of Arnott in alot of regards.

I'm just hoping Patty scores some goals this year. His shot is so good and like the man said himself, he's going to have to shoot a lot more with Rolston and Gionta on his line.

I really thing Gio is going to have a very good season too. We're lucky to have Rolston.

They're not going to be the A line. The A line had the kind of chemistry that only comes around once every twenty years. They will, however, be our first line and be worthy of that role.
