Schneider, Morrisson, 1st, MacMillan to St. Louis for Andy Mac? With EJ probably going to LTIR, the Blues need a defenseman and have plenty of cap space.

I know, just like we aren't going to trade for Andy Mac less than a year after we gave him away for a crappy old Doug Weight. It was a semi-joke, but I still think a trade with the Blues would be a very strong possibility now that EJ is out for a while.

I don't get the sense that St. Louis is going to go for it. So they might not care about replacing EJ.

edit: oh, and taking White away seems just as much negative value as taking Schneider away. I'll even add a bonus. Schneider + 3rd for White.

double edit: LOL. How did EJ tear both his major CLs pulling his feet off of the pedals? Of a golf cart?

While highly unlikely I kinda like this deal. I really like Morrisson so I hate to see him go and I think he'll do great, but there is still the question of whether or not he'll mesh well with Selanne. (I think he will, but it's still up in the air til we see it) At least with Andy Mac we know they work well. Plus Andy was always a fan favorite, it would be great to get him back. It's a deal that HEAVILY favors St. Louis. They get WAY more than the ducks get back and it would suck to see MacMillan go so maybe take him out of the deal and it would be okay.

Got his foot caught under the pedal, so his body kept going out of the cart, while everything from the knee down stayed in the cart.

EDIT: For what it's worth HockeyCentral @ Noon/FAN 590 in Toronto are reporting that they believe that a Schneider trade is imminent within the next few hours, but they had no idea where he was going.

Isn't there a one-year trade rule - which prevents AndyMac from returning to the Ducks within a year?

Doesn't apply to expired contracts (i.e UFAs) I think.
