Mooseduck 09-11-2008, 03:02 AM The Ducks open their six-day Rookie Camp on Friday, Sept. 12, with practices held at Honda Center. Practices have been moved to the arena from Anaheim Ice and are not open to the public.
The Ducks will wrap up the camp with a Rookie Game versus the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. - Read more - (http://ducks.nhl.com/team/app/?service=page&page=NewsPage&articleid=381669http://)
Here is the Rookie Roster ->http://ducks.nhl.com/ext/RookieRoster.pdf
----------------------------------------------
Bob Ryan is not listed on the Rookie Roster - guess he has made the team ;)
I think it sucks the public has been shut out of the Rookie Camp - Burke should open the camp at least a couple of days so fans can take interest in our future. It's not like they will fill the Honda Center with spectators. :D
Good luck to all in camp this season - hopefully, someone can break into the Arena and give fair reports on our prospects.
Congrats Anaheim Angels - 2008 Western Division Champions :handclap:
Spankatola Jamnuts 09-11-2008, 03:24 AM Belesky's not on there either, among others. Does it mean anything?
snarktacular 09-11-2008, 03:32 AM Ryan (and Miller, but he's unsigned so it's a moot point) have been at a camp or two, and have played NHL games. They'll be at the real camp.
Ebbett is a borderline guy who I thought might be invited, but he isn't. Beleskey is the surprise. Hmmm...
I remember a college guy joined last season. Was it Mitera or Salcido? The college restriction rule sucks.
Spankatola Jamnuts 09-11-2008, 03:35 AM Don't think it was Mitera. Seems like he's always had money troubles.
snarktacular 09-11-2008, 03:41 AM Yeah I thought it was Salcido, just because he lives here in the offseason.
Mooseduck 09-11-2008, 05:26 AM You have to love having both a:
MacMillan (45 Logan MacMillan)
and
McMillan (50 Brandon McMillan)
in camp. Let's follow this group close.
We will will likely need some of these kids next season.
No Gardiner either but Im glad Deschamps will be there
racer34 09-11-2008, 09:32 AM No Stefaniszin or Modig either
Kevin Forbes 09-11-2008, 10:57 AM No Stefaniszin or Modig either
The season in Europe has already started or is close to starting. Stefaniszin coming to the conditioning camp over the summer is a good sign for his future though.
Spankatola Jamnuts 09-11-2008, 12:39 PM But there is a Stefanishion, so we're covered.
TheJoeMan 09-11-2008, 01:11 PM I remember a college guy joined last season. Was it Mitera or Salcido? The college restriction rule sucks.
Mitera was at last year's prospect conditioning camp, there wasn't a rookie camp because of the London games. Or at least there wasn't a rookie tournament but I don't remember an actual camp for the prospects. But if there was Mitera wasn't there.
Kevin Forbes 09-11-2008, 02:20 PM re: Beleskey, they seem to have limited to guys who have been in the organization for less then 2-3 years, so that could be way, I know it was bandied around that he may need shoulder surgery, so it's possible that has happened as well.
It's interesting that Schultz and Warg are attending. Especially Warg, considering that Europe leagues are starting soon.
cheesymc 09-11-2008, 02:58 PM I think Warg is going to be playing in the CHL (WHL?), I remember reading that he was drafted and planned to play in Canada.

Good call, forgot all about that. Warg is playing for the Seattle Thunderbirds in the WHL this season.

Yeah Beleskey had surgery I'm pretty sure, I know that he wasn't ready to go thats why hes not i the camp, not because of the less than 2-3 years thing.
Kevin Forbes 09-16-2008, 11:01 AM Beleskey is listed on the Ducks Training Camp as injured:
